EDIT: Won't be doing it tonight. Might revisit for the future. Thanks.

If we did a YouTube livestream watching the Rutgers at Minnesota game tonight, how many of you would join? Also, of course get the word out too to others.

The chat will be open and it would be like the Game Thread of sorts as well.

To each there own, but if it is like a game thread, hard pass.

I think its a great idea for the future but for this critical last away game I'm probably sticking with current process.
In addition, I don't like watching things on my laptop when there's an 80" HDTV in my living room. Good luck either way.

That's essentially my take. I'm focusing on the game, want to hear the announcers. Also odds are the livestream will be off sync with the game by a few seconds. That would drive me insane

The Big Ten Tournament might have been better for planning, but Richie and I will both be away (not there).

This would be better with a ZOOM presentation. Then everyone could talk, yell, hear things thrown, then scream for joy, when we finally pull the win out. Watching and trying to read or type comments I don't think would work.

I think you should do it and see how it turns out. Could be something that catches on eventually, and you’ll never know until you try.

Probably wouldn't stay the whole game (will also be watching on TV), but would certainly check-in - usually do the same with Kop-ish during/after Liverpool games.

particular ? My eye are old! 😁
Same here, old eyes so I prefer larger displays.

I have a 75" Sony in my family room and have been shopping for 85"ers to replace it recently. Almost bought one for my superbowl party, but held off to have more time to research.

Then saw, yesterday, that Sony's new lineup for 2023 includes a 98"er. An X90L series model. No price given yet.

As usual, the flagship X95L series will be a better picture, but is capped at 85". Freaking electronic manufacturers never give it all to us in one model. There's always some kind of compromise built into the choices. So I could get a 98" TV that isn't quite as good, or an 85" that's the top of the line. WTF is that? Why not a 98" top of the line model?

My current TV isn't that old, but Sony's got some kind of agreement with some of the app makers (e.g. Vudu) to disallow certain app updates or features, which forces consumers to upgrade the TVs to get newer software. That sucks and apparently all the manufacturers do that. That **** pisses me off, but since everybody does it, there's no avoiding it.

Is the idea to emulate something like what the Manning brothers did livestreaming watching football games? Basically show the game, but add commentary of your own over the game commentary?

That post screamed privilege! Just kidding @DennisHajekRC84 . I'm just jelly bc yours is bigger than mine by 5". I can no longer brag about my 75" unit.
well the truth is it could very well be "just" 75" cause a friend of mine gave it to me when he got his bi-annual new one which WAS 80". I just thru 80 out there cause that's # that came to mind (not to mention the size required to get up real close to the screen and see that a players heal isn't touching the sideline lol!! HAHAHAHA)

Agree on watching on TV over laptop or phone.

I could watch YouTube on my TV but I'm a cranky old man (late 30s haha) and don't want to risk stream being messed up.

How is it being streamed though? I would assume TKR will have to stream someone else's stream (Big Ten+)?
If their stream goes down then it doesn't matter how well I'm set up

Would be very popular for halftime and even more so for post-game. Think I would leverage that instead of during the action
I had season tickets back when Gary Waters was our HC. On the drive home I used to tune into asst coach Larry Disemplar’s (possibly misspelled) post game report regardless as to outcome. After victories we indulged in his analysis, and after losses he made us feel better by talking specifics about what they needed to work on. If TKR can bring that kind of a show to life, I’d watch it instead of BTN’s postgame stuff and also over another game. Would be even better if they had special guests announced in advance, like ex-referees and ex-coaches (not necessarily from RU) who can speak at the highest level about the game the way Larry did. I wouldn’t be all that interested in just hearing fans talk. I’d sooner call one of my friends, as is our custom immediately following games.

Seems like many are not interested. May fire one up for Selection Sunday.

So, I assume your 75 incher is better than my 25 year old 37 inch Tube TV that weighs 75 pounds ? 😪😪😪
