4-0 is sweet. IMO we're a pretty mid team but that's progress & we're building a good foundation to build upon.

With that said, here are some quick thoughts:

1. Proud of how we came out in the 2nd half & took control of the game. That shows that we're well coached & have leadership in the locker room.

2. Loved how Shapen ran yesterday. 65 yards gained is tremendous. HE MUST DO THAT. We've proven we can hit deep balls, so teams must defend that first, which means they can't stack the box. Shapen has to be able to run. It's wide open if the other team only has 11 players on the field. This is the most exciting thing about Lebby IMO. He's forcing defenses to defend in a way that Mullen could never accomplish. We never established a deep ball game in 9 years of Mullen, 2 years of Moorhead, & the Leach era. This is the first time in my lifetime.

3. Along those lines, Lebby must play KT more in short yardage situations. He's unstoppable & a huge weapon for us. Additionally, we need to go deep in that situation with KT so the safeties are forced to sit back. I need to see KT taking 5-10 snaps vs TN for us to have a chance. He's way way way too good not too. Leak/Tebow style.

4. Ferrie looks like an NFL kicker.

5. The internal pressure NI was getting on delayed blitzes was a huge concern. We need more big explosive guys in the trenches.

6. Big fan of Gayten. Adds another dimension

7. Yesterday's crowd was an indication of poor season ticket sales. As the program builds again, the crowds for bad non-con games will improve because more people will already have tickets.

8 . Watching Mizzou & SC last night & we're not at their level right now in physicality & athleticism. Catching up to those teams is our next step. Fringe playoff contenders like Mizzou/SC/OM. That's where we've got to be but we aren't there yet from a roster standpoint in the trenches & on defense.

9. Can't wait for next weekend. I'm pessimistic about our chances because I don't know if we can compete in the trenches & stop the run. That said, our secret weapon is deep balls that can flip the game. Shapen was off with those yesterday but, if he's ever on with them, we're going to win that day. Maybe we're on next week & can light TN up.

Overall, very proud of where we're going right now. Need more athletes & explosive big guys to join the program to take the next step.

Nice write up Bo.

I like the way, Lebby schemes and Shapen finds the one on one matchups and exploit that. We have gotten a number of 1v1 on deep balls and Shapen has found them.

I would love for KT to come in right now and t bag the sec but... I wont question Lebby on the offensive decisions. The offense looks good. If this offense had a better OL.... wow. That's its only weakness currently.

Agreed on 9. The OL and DL will be my concern for next week. I hope we find a way to scratch and claw. hopefully they gift us a turnover. All the ingredients needed for an upset.

What do you think about our chances of making a bowl?

I think 6 wins is a real possibility now. We can get two between Florida, Arkansas, Texas and Ole Miss. Our running game is getting better every week.

We’ve been better than I expected through 4 games. The question now becomes are we better enough to beat SEC teams.

I too am skeptical about next weekend and probably at A&M as well. But that three game stretch following our first bye (Florida-Texas-Arkansas) intrigues me.

I’m afraid both Texas & Florida are just going to out-physical & out-talent us on the lines. And Texas is a legitimate top 10 team. Young manning will improve some. Florida offense is bad, but that defense is legit. Chance they may have quit by the time we play them though.

We will have a puncher’s chance in every game we play because we have guys that can run past their guys. And we have a QB that can get it to them (provided he’s “on” that day. He was off a bit today).

We will have a chance to win next Saturday. Period. Heupel’s teams have had road struggles during his time there. Aguilar has not played in the type of environment he SHOULD be playing in next weekend, provided we do our part. And make no mistake, Tennessee wants to throw the ball. They can and will run some, but they want to hit the deep ball. If Kelley and Brumfield can have another good game, we will have a chance to win. But this game will come down to our offense. If we can be consistent, we’ll give ourselves a chance. Nobody should be writing this game off as a loss just yet.

Let Pulliam be the punter going forward. Two 50 yard boots, and the other guy's 21 yard shank led to NI's only TD.
I think the punter competition is over. Lebby wanted one punter to distinguish himself by the time SEC play started. Tiyce certainly distinguished himself, but not in the way you want to see.

#7 is the biggest standout to me. The number of long time fans who “let their tickets go” this year was worrying. I guess they hope we can get better and they can get their same spots back? Or don’t care as long as they. An get in stadium for big games?

Our biggest chance to get a 5th win is Ark. I wish that game was at home. 5-7, and being competitive in the rest of the SEC games, will create a huge buzz for 2026. I'd set your changes of wining 5 games at 50/50, our chances for getting that 6th win is probably 40%.
