A place that was at one time very useful but now is just an overgrown kiosk for phone plans and directv.

Now Lance is about to get going today. It will be interesting to see if he drops the hammer and goes all out to eat into Contador's lead. I have a feeling Contador will win today, laying the smack down on Lance.

I wonder if Lance and Kloden will attack him on Ventoux. Granted, Contador will still win, but it would at least be a symbolic '17 you' for what he did yesterday.

An attack on Ventoux would be a very futile effort at this point. Alberto has shown who the best rider is in this tour. And watching Lance in this TT has got me thinking maybe he should have stayed retired. He's a fine cyclist still, but has fallen far from his prime.

Damn. He just knocked off Cancellara. I was hoping it would be a bit closer between Schleck and Bertie, but damn. That was an awesome TT.

The fact that Lance broke his collarbone before the Giro, then worked his way back to probably podium at this tour makes me think he's got one or two years left to get to the top step again. I think he can do it.

I wonder if part of his reason was not really trusting that Lance would ride in support of him and thinking he maybe wanted a little more cushion over him heading into the time trial (where he would likely lose some time to Lance). In any case, Bruyneel says he didn't want Contador to attack and with Bruyneel's record I think I would have just done what he said to do.

ridiculously overpriced specialty cables and **** that don't do anything, like Best Buy people do.

And they have lots of specialty products other stores don't. Which I don't understand, since they're so small.

Too many bad experiences there, the last of which was when they sold me a DVD player that they had previously been sold, returned as defective, repackaged, and then re-sold to me. Then they gave me **** about returning it. When somebody returns something because it's defective, FIX IT before you re-sell it.

Apparently the consensus is that the Radio Shack's where each of you live hire a better staff than where I am. The stupid women working in mine the other day had no clue what an ethernet cord was. I was standing in front of the ethernet cords, asking for a different (but common) length than was on the shelf. And she put her hands on her hip and said "Whats dat is?" - Pissed me off

"Lance Armstrong will compete for Team RadioShack as a cyclist, runner and triathlete in events around the world, including the 2010 Tour de France," the statement said.

Looks like he'll have at least one year as a team leader back in France. After that, who knows what happens to the team with two American based teams already having some success. It's kind of cool that it looks like he'll keep doing tris and marathons after he's done with the Tour. I imagine Boston and Kona will be on the schedule at some point to keep Livestrong in the news.

Do you think most (or all) of the current Astana team will also move to the new team? Also, what about guys on the 2 current American teams, Columbia and Garmin? You think any of them will transfer over?

I'm about 100% sure Contador won't be coming over. Kloden could, and I have no idea about some of the domestiques. Levi might come and ride a few more years with him. There's rumors he's been talking with Hincapie to come finish out his career with him and recruiting Cavendish at the same time. Tony Martin's names has popped up as well.

I think Garmin stays together and goes at again with a healthy Vandevelde and the random new found GC contender in Wiggins (still can't believe a former track cycling champ is doing what he's done). Plus, they've got Farrar, who is good for the sprints. Columbia/High Road might be a goner, especially if he gets Cav to come on over. Hell, maybe they cherry pick the team and they get Kirchen as a domestique, too. Could be a damn good team with Lance, Levi, George, Kirchen, Kloden, Cav, etc.

He could be the next Lance and wind up with 5 or more Tour de France titles before he's done. I think your scenario of the new team cherry picking from the rest of Astana and Columbia is probably the most likely. And yeah, that would be a damn good team. One problem there is you'd have a lot of old guys (Armstrong, Leipheimer, Hincapie).

I see the tour basically being Schleck vs. Contador. If Andy learns how to TT (today was his best ever) then it'll get really interesting. Right now though, the only reason Contador needs a team is because you have to have at least 5 cross on a team time trial.

has a chance to challenge Lance's 7 victories. He's 26 and in three days will have 2 victories. The Schlecks will continue to improve their TT but so will Contador. I think the Astana Team will fold after this year. The team was formed to provide a platform for Alexader Vinokourov and is backed by the Kazak government. Vino got banned from the sport a couple of years ago. They've had funding problems for years and the team went most of the first half of the year without pay. I would think that Trek will go w/ Lance to Radio Shack.

Saturday is going to be a great stage. Kloden, Schleck and Wiggins are going to come at Armstrong like spider monkeys on mont Ventoux.
