Raining here at UVA. Double header on Tuesday is a real possibility.

If we do have to wait, at least Ross will be available. Rather play today though...

What has been the 17'n deal with the weather this year? I mean, honestly, I think there has been rain (or at least a major threat of rain) every weekend for the past 10 straight weeks. And the crazy part is that it really hasn't rained all that much during the weeks. I know it rains a lot in the south this time of year, but can we not get one solid weekend without having to worry about rain?

Tuesday double header would be their pitching staff minus Wadell vs our pitching staff minus Graveman. I like our chances with that match-up. The problem is that State fans probably would have to leave and we would have a diminished MSU crowd. Believe it or not, I think our visiting crowd got into their heads a little.

I like our chances better if we play today. They used 4 or 5 pitchers yesterday, so we are already deep into their pitching depth. We wait till Tuesday to play and all those guys will be available again. We still got 4 or 5 solid RP even without Mitchell, so right now we have the advantage. Hope we get this game in today.

The problem is what's coming in around 8p. Look down from there into the northern part of Georgia. Looks to me that it will be here around 8p or so. With that being said, if UVA is 3 innings into their Sr. pitcher and we are three innings into Fitts and it rains, they are the big losers here. I want to get the game in, but weather is coming around 8p unless the big man steps in.

My thoughts exactly. Let's get about 3 innings in and have about an hour worth of rain delay to chase their best starter out. That wouldn't hurt us too bad since we only expect about 3-4 from Fitts anyway.
