Lots of thunder and lightning, and frequent sirens up and down the streets.
That's why I'm still up, welcoming 2011.

Wouldn't be surprised if a twister showed up, we tend to get them at really odd times.

That line of crap that went through MS is now bearing down on us.
It's a long skinny cold front, or "transitional zone" that is moving up the usual northeastern path.

And given HSV's history of tornadoes, I couldn't sleep anyway.

I've been very close to8 of them in my lifetime, and tonight's conditions are very similar.

On radar, the color patterns of the storm look like a 17'ing dragon. It keeps recoiling and reforming.
Awesome.

Much thunder and lightning; I sort of wish I'd majored in Weather.

Lightening struck a tree 40 yards from patio at deer camp. The tree exploded and sent shrapnel of wood chunks and splinters in all directions. We were on patio at the time. Pretty damn scary.
