Raise your hand if you saw Minnesota at 5-0 after trading away a king's randsom for Bradford?

I freely admit I could not have been more wrong about that move. Man, when I miss, I miss big. I know a lot of season is left yet, but it looks like they gambled and won on that deal. Good for them.

I thought it was a good deal because I have always been a fan of Bradford however I didn't think they would be undefeated.

GBR!

I'm guilty. I thought the Vikings got took like Jerry did to them a couple decades ago. So far, I've been wrong and it has worked. Season is still early.

Thought it was a huge overpay but he's been really good and that defense is amazing. He doesn't have to force anything because he knows if they score 17+ they've got a great shot to win every game.

It's all relative, compared to the Herschel Walker deal, Bradford was a bargain. That one still hurts!

:)

But it's only a bargain as long as he stays healthy. I still have my doubts about that. Looks like a great trade right now though, and I could not have been more wrong about him so far.

I'm not too surprised. I thought he got off to a decent start before injuries set in and then he was shipped to Philadelphia which was not a good fit for him. I always wondered how he would do in a traditional offense if he stayed healthy.

As a Vikings fan I thought it was great and I got blasted in here for it. I should go find that thread.

I did not predict that, especially with Carolina on the schedule and then losing Bridgewater and Peterson. But, I am thrilled with the results. The defense is better than I expected. They can pressure a QB with their front 4. The linebackers are good at covering out of the backfield and stuffing the run. They have one of the best safeties and cornerbacks in the game in Smith and Rhodes.

Bringing in Bradford is proving to be the right move in terms of talent and fit. We gotta remember he played behind a porous Rams line and not-a-real NFL coach in Chip Kelly. Bradford starts his first game after being in uniform for 10 days, so he has A LOT of upside even though he's undefeated. He's the type of QB that thrives in Norv Turner's offense. He's decisive with the ball and is deadly accurate. He can read defenses. I honestly believe few NFL quarterbacks excel at it. I think he has a good chance of staying healthy as he gets the ball out very quickly. I believe only Tom Brady gets it out faster. He's not going to out run anyone, so I worry about him getting crunched, hit in the head, at the knees and so on. The lack of production of the run game is not a big concern yet as they use short passes as a surrogate run. The Vikings can stretch the field and have good tight end play. Special teams returners Sherrells and Patterson are electric. If you look at the rest of the schedule, Minnesota may win 13, 14 games. This is the first time in my life where I've had complete confidence in the head coach and the ability of the defense to lock down the opponent. The new stadium does not hurt.

I think I posted that I about puked when I heard that they had traded for Bradford. Boy was I wrong. He's played like he was worth a couple of 1st rounders let alone one. Whether he was worth the trade bait or not is not determined by his continued health IMO. Most of that will be on Minnesota's O line. Doesn't matter who is back there you have to keep them clean. The guy has really been impressive. His accuracy has been incredible.
