reasonable people would agree that Boise is ahead of UAB, but it's not exactly lightyears. Boise 2014 does not come close to Boise 2007.
I watched a little of BSU-Colorado State the other night, and it confirmed what I thought I saw against us. That RB they have (Ajayi) will start on Sundays. He's really good. Hedrick is pretty good too, and a good athlete, though our pressure got to him and kept him from really getting anything going with his legs.
BSU's defensive front is pretty good too. They held CSU to 28 yards rushing, a week after CSU had 266 on the ground against Colorado. If you haven't seen CSU, they have Dee Hart in their backfield. He was one of Saban's blue chip RB signees at Bama, and he looks the part of your typical Bama back, so the 28 yards on the ground is something very few teams will do to CSU. Hart has a good shot at making it to the league too.
It's still hard to say how good any team is this early, but Boise has shown enough in some key areas that leads me to believe they'll be a 9-10 win team. Not sure they can run all the way to 11-1 and a likely Top 25 finish and Playoff Bowl invite, but they should win a good number of games if Ajayi and their defensive front stay healthy.
