SloMo took over a 10 win team and somehow lost 5 games.
Arnett took over a 8/9 win team and somehow lost 6 games.
Croom - may be the dumbest of the bunch.
Lebby - may be the dumbest of the bunch,

Id go Moorhead, then Croom then Lebby. Arnett was so bad he was asking high school coach Brad Peterson for advice before every play. Absolute meathead.
Could be correct. probly Agree Joe/Croom top tier, Lebby/Arnett bottom tier but I think Arnett is worst I’ve ever seen.
Best to worst
1. JoMo - underachieved but higher winning percentage than other 3
2. Croom - his teams typically played hard on defense and he at least tried to enforce some discipline. Offense was usually difficult to watch
3. Lebby - year 2 it looks like he was able to get a few more talented players but some of his decisions have been truly awful
4. Arnett - was in way over his head and was put in a situation he was clearly not prepared for. Wish we still had him as defensive coordinator

Annetts worst (only) year = Lebbys best. But really ranking all 4 of those is 1 big cripple fight. How can 1 school have so many terrible coaches?

Yea, the overall record is meaningless considering what they did to waste their talent. Objectively I think Arnettnis the biggest moron and probably has some really bad personal habits. Lebby is a dumb guy.
I don’t know how one school makes so many bad hires. At some point the admin has to answer for this
If croom hadn’t been so set on running his “west coast offense” we probably would have won a few more games. He got some decent recruits and players seemed to play hard for him, but that offense was a disaster
Yes, but he took a fully loaded Range Rover off the showroom floor and turned it in a 2007 Ford Taurus.

Yes. But he beat our arch-rival two times in his two years. Arnept took a Rolls Royce and drove it into the English Channel! Lebby had $12 mill to spend and bought 2 dozen Pintos!
Lebby-best offense of the 4 by far, but needs to fire his DC
SloMo-wasted some of the best talent ever at MSU
Arnett- not terrible, but hired the wrong OC and threw away everything Leach built
Croom-could not complete a forward pass and put together some wins against the SEC when the SEC was at an all time low
