http://sixpackspeak.yuku.com?topic=50220/What-are-your-concerns-with-the-MSU-football-team-this-year- this is the thread from last year where some of us voiced our concerns - its fun to go back and look at some of those. <div>
</div><div>Here are mine:</div><div>1. Pass Rush - I think we will be adequate against the run, but I see nothing outside of a damn good blitz scheme that is going to get us to the QB. Right now, the only sacks I envision are going to come from Whitley, Hughes or Wells on a nickel blitz.</div><div>2. OL Depth - big trouble if someone goes down.</div><div>3. Schedule. No way around this. </div><div>4. LB - like I said in another thread, I dont think this group will be as bad as some think. Just having Cox/Boyd/Eulls up front should make their jobs a lot easier vs the run, and all of them have the speed to play well in coverage.</div><div>5. Can we limit our turnovers like we did last year. That was a HUGE part of our success.</div><div>6. LT - I can't say that it is not a concern, but of all my concerns, it is the last.</div><div>
</div><div>What I am not worried about:</div><div>1. RB - especially with the reports that Robert the Deuce is running like he has been shot out of a cannon.</div><div>2. WR - best group of WR that I have ever seen at State.</div><div>3. Secondary - will continue to be salty on the perimeter - need to see some improvement on intermediate/deep middle of the field.</div><div>4. QB - it is as simple as this, as awesome as Mullen's offense has been from a historical perspective for State, it is going to take another big step forward from Relf to see if we can actually move the ball effectively against a top notch defense - Mullen has not done that yet. If he lights up LSU or USC early this season, look out. Similarly, if we struggle to score on Auburn, we should be worried.</div><div>5. DT</div><div>6. Starting OL</div><div>
