Ranking Coaches in the SEC

overall including best x's and o's, recruiting, motivation, etc...

1. Billy Donovan, UF -- duh...
2a. Bruce Pearl, UT -- turned this laughing stock program into the SEC powerhouse it should be in a very short time
2b. Rick Stansbury, MSU -- the class of the SEC west
4. Trent Johnson, LSU -- has proven what he can do at Nevada, Stanford and LSU, could easily move up if he can continue success he had this year
5. Kevin Stallings, Vandy -- consistent tough out in the SEC
6. Andy Kennedy, UM -- needs to control off court demons, but can obviously coach, they shouldn't have won more than three SEC games this year after losing top three players
7. Billy Gillespie, UK -- only this high because of 2008 SEC regular season, better turn it around fast needs to recruit talent to replace Meeks and Patterson
8. Darrin Horn, USC -- good first year very easily could rise
9. Jeff Lebo, AU -- lets see more than just this year before we rate him higher
10. Pelphry, Arkansas -- just atrocious job this year youth or not, this team had no business winning only 2 SEC games
11 and 12. Soon to be named coaches at UGA and UAT...

At first, his interviews with Jeanine Edwards during the ESPN Tuesday games were just weird. Then, he does the same thing with Dave Baker from Raycom, 2-3 seconds of silence after Baker asks the question, then answers it like its a joke or something.

Plus, he had a grin on his face during the last minutes of the LSU game. He's just not right. </p>

Stans does an outstanding job with what he has and doesn't. 1) No practice facility 2) Poor national spotlight on the state, not to mention everyone gets us mixed up with ole miss. 3) Starkville is not a town that has a lot of pull compared to Lexington, Gainesville, Baton Rouge, Nashville and others.

Considering all this I might have to put him at 2a and Pearl at 2b.

i think that list is about as accurate as possible, I might still trade pearl and stansbury or put htem both at 2 with stans edge like tdawg said
