Is Indiana really the easiest school to win at? IU basketball seems a lot like Nebraska football - passionate fan base, and won a lot of games a long time ago because of a legendary coach who was there a long time. But now that that coach is long gone, doesn't really have any advantages that other schools don't.

It will be interesting to see who Indiana gets. That will tell us a lot about how their program compares to NU football. There wasn't a top power 5 coach or NFL head coach that was even going to pick up the phone if Nebraska came calling.

The more air time Ball's father gets the more I could see Alford going home. His son is a senior too.

possibly but I haven't heard from any IU fans that would be excited with Alford ... with regards to IU BB vs NU FB ... there was no way Neb was going to pull a head coach from another blue blood program and Neb doesn't have the coaching tree that Indiana has ...

would Frost leave a blue blood football program to come home to Nebraska?

Ball is gone after this year and Alford might actually enjoy coaching UCLA more without Junior on the team. I think it depends more on whether Leaf and Welsh come back. If they do, UCLA is set to be really good.

There are 2 more Ball brothers already committed to UCLA. One comes in next year and the other in 2019. That means at least 3 more years of dealing with Lavar Ball.

That was my point.

I got home this afternoon and daddy was on ESPN and Stephen Smith was trying to get him to go off about his LeBron comments. I wish someone would tell him his 15 minutes of fame ended.

Yeah, that could be a lot of grief to endure. But, it's still going to be hard to walk away from that roster if his bigs come back. On the other hand, Leaf and Welsh might both opt for the NBA. I never saw Welsh as an NBA player but he's really improved his game.

@Harry Caray -- the comparison (IU BB vs NU FB) was correct

Indiana just hired Daytons coach. .., might end up being a very good hire but certainly not the splash that many of their fans expected.
