Just because your were proven right did not make the mobs rush to judgement right. The mob mentality that automatically assumed what happened in the elevator is what the problem was. That is prejudice and profiling that liberals love to complain about but for some reason embraced in this case. With this actual evidence now you can have the opinion of what you think his punishment should be. I was always talking about how the media and the mob wanted to hang this guy without this evidence.
As far as I know, this video has just recently surfaced. The only other video to this point was the damning video of Rice carrying her out of the elevator. Now that this has come out more could happen.

I don't really see how this video changes much..? I mean, it was pretty well accepted that he knocked the chick out. We had the video from the hallway of him dragging her out.

Was Rice denying that he knocked her out? I thought he pretty much admitted it and that his girlfriend (fiance? wife?) 'admitted' that she started the physical altercation.
From my understanding, Goodell had access to this video all along...and he clearly still went with the 2 game suspension. Public push may force him to go longer, but seeing that video and thinking "2 games" makes Goodell look really bad, especially when smoking pot gets you a year off. 2 games for pot would be a lot more reasonable.
So unless you see video evidence of someone committing a crime, you would not convict. I guess you think OJ was innocent? After all, no video of him almost cutting his ex wife's head off. Rice admitted he and his fiancé had a physical altercation. He was videoed dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator. Doesn't take a genius to put two and two together.

So you, in all situations, refrain from forming an opinion or even reaction since you are almost always only getting one side of the story or an incomplete story?

I didn't want to comment on this for fear of locking the thread, but there has already been a lot of lock worthy comments on here so I'll go ahead. Bruce, I consider myself a moderate, which of course today translates to lefty pinko liberal. But that being said I have to agree with Stephen A. Smith's bigger point. She MARRIED the guy after doing this. If it was my daughter, mother, or sister, he'd be dead and I'd be in jail, but she 17'ing married the guy. Sometimes women CAN make sure they are not in those situations. If it happens again, which seems likely, considering his reduction in pay, I will not feel sorry for her.
