Re: great student athlete experience

Who said what about it (I assume Vandy’s stadium?) being a great experience? I’ve seen several sarcastic references to it.

There is so much wrong with that crap hole...

To name a few. The diminutive seating capacity with a couple of those seats routinely occupied by a couple of whistling toolsheds. A field composed entirely of materials that were most recently crude oil including the mound. A field on which the baseball bounces like a golf ball on cement. A field of which during construction they either ran short of money or real estate based on the fact the dugouts are so close to the field of play the guy in the coaches box can literally turn and shake hands with its occupants. I’m just getting warmed up.

Thanks. I heard and read all of that last night. But I thought I saw someone mention Kendall Rogers too so I thought maybe he made a comment in reference to why it was supposedly better to have the supers there rather than Dudy Noble.

It is a terrible baseball stadium. It’s literally connected to the football stadium, and they share restrooms.

That comment was made because Vanderbilt had already gone to Starkville this yea. Period. It’s not the shot at Starkville our fans are making it out to be.

Definitely ****** wording, though.

The problem goes back to the scholarship situation in the sport.

Vandy has a massive scholarship advantage over everyone else, and that's due to the 11.7 rule.

If college baseball Had a normal scholarship situation, it would be a survival of the fitest game like football and basketball, and Vandy and their crappy stadium would be home to a bad team that never host regionals.

It all goes back the scholarship situation.
