This is getting painful to watch those two....
we really need Rea and Bradford spectating more. Those two will never be good hitters until someone does some extensive work with their swings. Nothing either of those two do at the plate is what hitting instructors teach, except keep both feet in the box.
Rea needs to bring his hands about down and in a few inches (start them somewhere around 4-6 inches out from his armpit/shoulder) and he would be dangerous at the plate. His hands are so far away, he loses a ton of power and limits the range of his swing and point of contact position.
Bradford is a completely different disaster. His hands and hips are not connected. On a good swing, the hands force the hips to open up. Bradford's hips open up first, and then he swings around his body. With the open hips and late hands, his hands are open at point of contact, this most of his balls batted going opposite way and a lot of roll over ground balls when he pulls one to right side.
For example, Look at Detz hands at point of contact. His hands are on top of and in front of ball. He swings directly (a bench press like motion. not a round motion) to point of contact and hits the ball out in front of the plate. He droves his hands trough the baseball properly.
