Never should have allowed betting on college sports anyway. Probably professional sports as well. It was always done under the table but legalizing betting now makes it so much easier for players and coaches to do it.
I doubt there's much appetite to rationalize throwing games with some sob story as to why they should be able to do it. Society has surprised me before though. Anyhow, I don't really care about protected classes or labels as justification to punish or not punish perceived groups. Just punish whoever steals money whether that's athletes throwing games, Wall Street securities fraud, or politicians laundering my tax dollars. 17 em all.
