In a perfect world, the earth would open up and swallow both teams whole.

Obviously, it ain't one. I hate Alabama. With a passion, I hate Alabama. I do not want to see them win heir third national title in four years.

That said, I hate the Irish even more. First, I'm of Scotch descent, so its kind of built in. But second, been listening to ESPN radio all week going to and from work, and ****, you'd think the Irish are immortals in addition to having God, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, Mohammed and science on their side.

I've got to go for the SEC, if for no other reason than so I don't have to listen to a full year of how the SEC may actually not be as strong as everyone thinks it is/having to listen to a year-long Notre Dame blowjob.

That said, pulling for the earth to open up and swallow both teams.

Agree completely. Except I'm of Irish descent and still hate Notre Dame. Pulling for Bama for the reasons you say, but still holding out some hope for the earth opening up.

I hope Notre Dame beats the hell out of them

Though I am expecting the exact opposite

When was the last time Notre Dame got a recruit we wanted?

That's reason enough right there to root for them over Alabama. It's not like the SEC's position as the #1 conference is in jeopardy.

no conflict here....Notre Dame was practically drilled in our heads at St. Aloysius in V'burg...hell, we didn't know anything about State or OM..just afterthoughts.

Anybody know the difference in $$ we get depending on whether Alabama wins or loses?

I really don't like Alabama, and you wouldn't believe how it is around here. Stores and restaurants are actually closing early in some cases. A couple of years ago we had a snowstorm on the night of the NC game and the crews actually shut down the plows and spreaders during the game for them to watch the game while drivers were left to fend for themselves.

I want the SEC to continue winning, but couldn't it be anybody else but Alabama??
