Really like the fact that there are no leaks coming from the RU side....

Don't get me wrong...I would love to have the inside scoop on what's really going on...but I would rather have silence and that silence getting us the best and right coach than having rumors mess up a deal.

The fact we haven't acted can mean so many things (from we are negotationg hard with a bigger name on our list to no one wants the damn job)...so Im kinda happy here to be sitting back and waiting for what happens to happen.

Really really hope we get this right

We've been announced for the big ten for three plus years now and completed two seasons. This is a SECOND chance to make a "re-entrance" into the big ten that catches people eyes with a coach that develops program growth and competitiveness. need to make the right hire here to get back on track....

One way to stop information from leaking is you mix it with mis-information so folks can't tell the difference.

The problem with a lack of leaks is that the leakers have been traditionally servicing their own agenda at the expense of Rutgers's good name and reputation. Accordingly, if the leakers aren't leaking, is it because their agenda is carrying the day behind closed doors?

But, seriously, I'm enjoying the lack of leaks, too.

Another way is to build consensus and a team atmosphere in an organization, and while his tenure has been short, I think Hobbs will clearly unite people and get them behind the mission and work together.

People have posted in other threads that leaks are no big deal; that they are neither good nor bad. But I have always believed that leaks are a sign of a dysfunctional organization. It is my opinion that leaks usually come from sources that are more concerned with their sense of self than the good of the organization for which they work. I value people who can keep their mouth shut, who can be trusted not betray confidences. There is a sense of honor in this that seems to be undervalued these days, and is probably vanishing.

This search is being run like a good business would conduct it: A small handful of top executives are making the decisions and the information is closely held. This is good business, and if any sector of a large public research university is a business, it would be athletics, notably football. The silence is driving me as crazy as everyone else, but I applaud it. But for heaven's sake, get it done already. o_O

Im beginning to think Julie was a Star-Ledger plant. Ever since she got fired, no more leaks of any kind...

Maybe all that drama when she first got the job was just done to sell it. Like when they arrest guys they are putting undercover in gangs? Think about it.....

The reason for no leaks is because no one of any interest is interviewing. We may actually end up worse than Flood. Brace for it.

Seems like the Hobbs hire did one thing already, leaks look like they're plugged.
Don't know if those leaks were just from the AD's office or from another office
to divert the attention solely on Hermann and Flood.
Doesn't really matter, both put themselves in a position to be blamed for everything.
