last night it was terrible and its been unreliable for the last several weeks. We just don't seem to be focused out there, I mean even a veteran guy like Frazier last night where our pitcher cleanly fields a sacrifice **** then makes a perfect throw to second and Frazier just inexplicably doesn't catch the ball. What's up with that? And then add to that the next batter ****s and our catcher throws the ball down right field to score a run and put men at 2nd and 3rd. Thank goodness Girodo came in and was able to strike out the side to hold things there. We also botched a couple of plays in the first inning and again Frost playing 3rd just drives me nuts. He came in for Norris and the first ball he fields he pulls Detz off the bag at 1st, Detz made the tag and got the out but it looked like a blown call to me because it appeared the runner may have gotten to the bag before or at the same time as the tag. Point being though, it shouldn't have come to that and I don't see why Cohen can't see that Frost is unable make the routine throws needed to play 3rd. Then you had a double into left field that scored a run for Alcorn where it appeared Robson was just sort of routinely jogging to the ball and had it go right over his outstretched glove. Just an all around terrible night in the field and sure hope we pull it together soon. We certainly missed out on a lot of scoring opportunities last night as well but the foul ups in the field cause me the most concern.
