Absolutely ridiculous and sickening... All around... And everyone wonders why he isn't telling the media the truth about anything?
He hasn't handled this recruitment the best possible way recently, but he has certainly done nothing to deserve threats of any kind.
If I were him, I'd be plastering the threats everywhere in public -- to out those ridiculous cowards.

Exactly this is a high school kid for crying out loud! Whether its a fan from either school is irrelevant but at least OM was mentioned too. People want to hide behind computer screens or text messages. I wish he would out these cowards so people would know.
All I can say is my faith in humanity definitely didn't get any stronger after reading that.
I was recently wondering, with recruiting getting ever crazier and increasingly fueled and dramatized by the media, if the Harvey Updykes and other lunatics out there might start trying to follow through with threats like these. I know it's terrible thing to think about, but with the increasing amount of insanity being generated over it, I can honestly see it going in that direction.

How many unhinged fans can there really be out there that would do this?
I'm guessing there might be one or two, but if he's received threats from more than a couple of people, some of those are probably from people posing as fans of the other school to try to sour him on that school (not that that doesn't require its own special level of crazy too).
I'm guessing two or three real UM fans making actual threats, and probably two or three UM fans posing as MSU fans making fake threats. Clearly all of MSU's unhinged fans have been too busy being bipolar on this message board to make any threats, real or fake.

^^^^^THIS is exactly my thoughts. Once word got out about Ole Miss death threats, I can see more of their students returning favor posing as State fans. Whatever the case, its awful.

And will say again that anyone that gets those kind of threats should file a report with the police and the perp should be tracked down, publically humiliated, and spend some time behind bars. Don't care if its a State or UM fan. Anyone that does this deserves the punishment.

Whoever these people are that did this, Chris should out them so that someone who knows them can see and give these people what they deserve (a beating). On a related note, I wish we (Americans) didn't work so hard to try to eliminate natural selection....

you are underestimating the stupidity of our fanbase if you think only OM...
fans were posing as MSU fans and none of our fans would have done this. I am not saying that OM fans didn't do this as well but we have enough dubmasses out there for this to happen.
Want proof: think of the unreal things that have been said to get MSU fans banned from this board over the years. We have our fair share of nut jobs.

We may have some nuts
but it makes zero sense for any MSU fan to make a death threat to a player who is currently committed to us(if it even happened). As far as I'm concerned, if there is no police report then it didn't happen. That said, this is the same strategy that worked with CJ Johnson two years ago where UM fans posed as lunatic MSU fans on Facebook. At some point these kids have to realize they can't believe anyone on the net is legit from either side.

to pose as an MSU fan and try and motivate CJ to flip that it would be for a true MSU fan to berate a guy that is technically still committed to MSU.
