This is where you and the Democrats are just plain stupid. No one in their right mind thinks men competing with women is ok. if you do, why have women's sports at all just do away with them.
Her and Thomas did NOT tie for 5th. They tied for 1st and the NCAA said the trophy would go home with the tranny Thomas.
I'm a republican but we need a reasonable and strong democratic party, one party states have never flourished. My advice to you and golfer if you ever hope to have a viable democratic party again is to agree with mainstream america on simple issues, like men shouldn't compete in women's sports. You have to appear logical if you want voters to see you as a reasonable alternative. This should be low hanging fruit. Cmon do better!!
Once more, this is just an way to whip up outrage, facts be damned. Nobody actually gives a serious 17 about the sport or the competitors because if they did, they would take time to get info correct before forming opinions and voicing them to others
- Swimmers compete in more than 1 event. Mindblow, I know.
Thomas won the 500 Freestyle. A woman from UVA was 2nd and a woman from Texas was 3rd.
GAINES DID NOT COMPETE IN, MUCH LESS TIE FOR FIRST IN, THE EVENT THAT THOMAS WON.
-
Gaines did not finish in the top 3 of ANY event at the 2022 NCAA Championships- individual or relay.
- On Friday 3/18/22,
Gaines and Thomas tied for 5th in the 200 Yard Freestyle final with a time of 1:40.40. A woman from Stanford was 1st, woman from Cal was 2nd, woman from Texas was 3rd, and another woman from Stanford was 4th.
After those 4 people, Gaines and Thomas finished.
- On Thursday 3/17/22,
Thomas won the 500 Yard Freestyle final with a time of 4:33.24. GAINES DID NOT COMPETE IN THE PRELIM OR THE FINALS.
Also, Quaoars already said he doesnt want biologically male athletes to compete with biologically female women, so you saying he is just plain stupid and assigning the opposite view to him is...well, stupid.
This is not a widespread issue and was never projected to become a widespread issue.
The amount of media coverage and outrage is akin to pouring a 5 gallon bucket of water on a birthday candle. Its like renting a backhoe to plant an appletree seed.
The reaction is completely over the top and unnecessary.
Many who wanted women's sports to stay biologically female sexed, but didnt agree with much of the vilification, shaming, and overall aggressive behavior by some who wanted the same thing, were then accused of being pedophiles/groomers/women haters. This over the top behavior and accusations were seen on TV, on social media, in op-eds, on message boards(constantly here), and podcasts.
It was a way to whip up outrage and generate political donations and activity, gain political power, and create personal wealth. The issue could have been handled in a level headed, reasonable, and calm manner. It wasnt because that would have been a wasted opportunity.
