By MSU? Since you are so certain..I see no reason you wouldn't. If MSU wanted to cut a check for Newton he would have been here. I know UM fans think that poor ole MSU can barely keep the lights on, But 180k would have been his if we were going to pony up.<div>
</div><div>And I'm with you. UM isn't going to drop the outrageousbuyout to fire Nutt this year. Now that Trooper Taylor wanna be on your sidelines........... </div>

I tell you what, bro. Tell me when I've been wrong here. The only time you will find is when I told you in November of last year that your "commitment" of Whitehead was a farce, and that he would end up @ Ole Miss. As we all know, he ended up @ Auburn.

Coach, I will take that bet. Count me in.

Last, the best thing about your fanbase is some of you are stupid enough to truly think you run a clean program. I really think some of you are stupid enough to actually believe that. Any fan of a major conference school that thinks they run a clean program is a moron. This doesn't mean that coaches cheat, but if you don't think boosters at ALL scholls do, then this conversation is a waste of time.

recruiting season... I want to hear your perspective. I infer that tou are saying that top talent players would rather go to a team getting beat by DII schools and not really competing in SEC, over one that is obviously getting better by the game and pounding the other said team. Also a team that had to bring in a band-aid QB that obviously didnt help. That is hard to believe. To decommit and waiver is nothing new, but to believe a recruit would go to UM just for the heck of it after decommitting from MSU, given where each team stood then and stands now, is just ignorant. I'd like to know what part of my post is inaccurate? Well maybe the furniture was a stretch, it was really at a 95% discount with free delivery.**

Said it was a theory, but really there arent many other reasons for such activity. Please tell how it really occured....

Since it is so obvious that MSU paid Newton, told on Auburn, and invited the NCAA to come poke around to find our own payment to Newton like UM and Auburn morons believe... MSU will go down just like AU. Right? <div>

How about this post, where you called CJ a lock to State. I would qualify that as wrong.

I AM NEVER WRONG BOUT RECRUITING!!!

You are correct in that I said that on that day. Of course, that was before Diaz left. He was a lock to you until then, even though he was having some doubts prior to that. That just reaffirmed his decision that Ole Miss was a better fit for him. I know, I know.....we paid him, bought him a car, etc. Either way, he signed on Signing Day with Ole Miss, and I was wrong at that time on Johnson. So you are correct....I was wrong at that time about that.

Here are some things to ponder about the 11 recruiting classes:

1) I have said this numerous times. Losing Diaz and Hud when you did was a killer for you, and would have been for virtually any school. They are the two that had relationships with most of the commitments you had. It was a killer for you.

2) I think it has been well documented by not only other fan sites, but some State one's as well, that Mullen isn't great in-home. He may be a terrific coach, but that doesn't necessarily mean he can get it done in home. Almost a 180 from Orgeron. He could recruit, but was the possibly the worst gameday coach in SEC history.

3) You put too much emphasis on what the teams were doing last season. That should play more in your favor this year. When coaches were building relationships with these guys in 2011, we were coming off of back to back NYD bowls. That should play into your hands this year, and certainly seems to be helping with the commitment of Grindle, and Evans and Ward having some interest in you.

I would love to see a thread on these boards be a long, somewhat educated debate on recruiting. The problem is it can start that way, but at some point, the idiots jump in and screw it up.
