I am revising a thread I posted back on 12-18 for the new developments in recrootin. Basically I'm taking the month off and then will check out signing day. This being my last day, wondering what to expect. Again, I have no subscriptions to any recruiting sites, so I only see free stuff. We now have 20 commitments with 3 JUCOs. I have no clue who counts back towards the last class so I will assume we have 7 total spots left taking into consideration 2 attrition casualties (Sandberg would be included there).

Potential prospects:

Josh Dobbs - Atlanta
Asiantii Woolard - Tampa looks like we've parted ways
Jason Smith - Mobile (Rivals says he may visit) looks to stick with Auburn
Tony Conner - USP likely Ole Miss
Kailo Moore likely Ole Miss
Elijah Daniel - Indiana
Jalen Ramsey - Nashville pipedream
McKenzie Alexander - South Florida (supposedly has a brother that must come too) not in his favorites
Ashton Shumpert - Fulton
Jason Carr - Memphis
Toby Johnson - KS JUCO
Lavon Hooks - MS JUCO Ole Miss
Sunny Odogwu - Hargrave Miami, we stopped recruiting him
Deondre Skinner - Louisiana
Javess Blue - KS JUCO

Nate Willis - AZ JUCO
David Washington - MS JUCO
Donald Gray - Memphis
Terrell Basham - Hargrave
Derunnya Wilson - Birmingham
Riyahd Jones - KS JUCO

Not sure where we are on the JUCOs or if we're still even recruiting any of them outside Toby Johnson (visiting). Conner and Moore are still slight possibilities, but I'm not counting on it. Either way, I'm happy about the class. We're getting high talent guys who want to be at MSU. I was talking to a former central MS coach this week who said that MSU's recruiting is the best it's ever been, for the last few years. He said the only player we should be disappointed with the staff about is C.J. Johnson, because he's one that really wanted to be at MSU, but somehow we pissed off the family. Explains why he has such a chip on his shoulder about us.

So in other words, don't believe the Ole Miss spin machine. They try and make it like they are winning all these battles when in actuality we're winning far more. There are many of our recruits who wouldn't give Ole Miss the time of day. Think about it, we went into USP and have the top OL in the state committed to us.

Couldn't this have not waited until your return, seriously? I don't see all the battles that we are winning - and that's not to say that we don't have an above-average class. Nor do I feel confident of your assessment of Woolard and Ramsey. Plus, I don't "buy" the C.J. Johnson story.

That is all. Happy New Year!

Guy posts something about recruiting that actually was worth reading, whether it was accurate or not, and the first thing you do is jump on him for not waiting until his return to post it. Everything else in your post is a valid argument and your opinion why not just post that without the vitriole. Wtf is wrong with you and the others like you on this board? Jesus it's more of the same stupidity that's made this board almost unbearable. I'm guilty of it in this post because its irritating as **** that nobody can have a discussion on here without some ******* asshat ripping the poster. Anyone reading this thread disregard joseyasshat and my post of yah yah as I would actually like to see where this thread goes for info as opposed to some playground argument.

Riyahd Jones and Javess Blue are off the board.

I doubt Daniel comes here.

Dobbs, Grey, Shumpert, and Wilson are the last 4 I'm really hoping for, that I think we have a pretty good chance with.

Addition - MS Diamond in the Rough prospects.....

Let's just say that we flop on closing some of these guys and end up with like 5 spots left and without a QB. Where do we go from there? Do we make a run at Derrick Jones or Trey Bledsoe?

-Dylan Bradley, DT - Noxubee
-Devin Farrior, OL - Waynesboro (committed to USM)
-Stacey Garner, LB - Forrest AHS
-Quentin Lane, ATH - Ackerman
-Brandon McGaffery, OL - Brandon (no offers, but a big OL project)
-Montreal Jordan, CB - Philadelphia
-Tony Bridges, CB - Hattiesburg

QB....um, who knows if we don't get Dobbs. I don't see anyone we could sign that isn't a scrub.

Have you not seen the plethora - yes, plethora - of recruiting posts on the front page since Christmas????? Could this not wait until after the Gator Bowl? It's 24 hours away!

WTF? Get real assclown!

I guess the real question is how have you made it to 49 posts.

You have cried about the board on every single one of your posts. I would think even State fans would have grown weary of it. If you don't like it, why don't you go back to Genespage or where ever you came from.

Josh Dobbs - Atlanta
Asiantii Woolard - Tampa looks like we've parted ways No, we haven't. He's a clear backup plan though
John O'Korn - New QB prospect on our board. Beat Cord Sandberg in the playoffs where we first saw him live. Same style as Sandberg and has flown under the radar.

Jason Smith - Mobile (Rivals says he may visit) looks to stick with Auburn
Tony Conner - USP likely Ole Miss
Kailo Moore likely Ole Miss
Elijah Daniel - Indiana
Jalen Ramsey - Nashville pipedream Not really. Depends on who we hire as CB coach. We are still right in the mix.
McKenzie Alexander - South Florida (supposedly has a brother that must come too) not in his favorites Yes, we are. He gave the updated list yesterday and we are still right in the mix. We are replacing his position coach -- of course we aren't going to be his "favorite" until he sees who we replace him with.
Mackenro Alexander - MacKensie's brother. HS S/LB prospect. Look for us to put the full court press on him when we miss on Conner. Whoever lands Mackenro is going to get MacKensie...
Ashton Shumpert - Fulton
Jason Carr - Memphis
Toby Johnson - KS JUCO
Lavon Hooks - MS JUCO Ole Miss
Sunny Odogwu - Hargrave Miami, we stopped recruiting him
Deondre Skinner - Louisiana

Now this is what I like to see.......

On this John O'Korn, who is saying we are in the game with him. Got some decent offers on Scout and Rivals (committed to Houston, offers from USF, UNC, Louisville, and similar). Hope we're not too late in the game with him, comes from a great HS too that produces tons of talent.

If Woulard is still on our board, that's a good thing too.

Paul Jones reported. In interviews, O'Korn sounded very interested in MSU. If we give him an official visit, I will really like our chances. Here's his highlight video. The first 2:50 are from the Florida 7A State Title game. I'd say he's a gamer...

ETA: Look how well he throws the deep ball in HS -- Then consider the 6'4 deep threat receivers we're bringing in as well in the class...

Sure looks as if we should sign him up. Good arm and can run.....

Not sure if I'm seeing a guy that's pretty good on a good team or a guy that can take any team and make it better, but I like what I see either way. A very good guy to be able to snatch up at the end of the recrootin year when your main target doesn't pan out for whatever reason.

Much better than a Favre or Schuessler anyway.

Explains the zero offers I suppose. I guess size is the knock on Dylan Bradley, but the guy dominated the MS-AL All-Star game so you know he can play. I really wish we'd sign that guy, not to mention Noxubee County is only going to get better as far as producing players on a consistent basis. He's 6' 250 lbs., guys like Peria Jerry weren't much bigger than that. Guy might grow. Roll the dice.

Isn't he from the same high school as the QB that played under Croom and transfered to FIU when Mullen came on board (his name escapes me)

Correct. You're thinking of Wes Carroll......

Another Croom QB tragedy, along with Omarr Conner, Tray Rutland and Michael Henig's collarbone. Still seeing the effects of the Noxubee County fallout.

With no Croom coaching, guy guides us to a Liberty Bowl win. With a year of Croom coaching, he's so nervous and over-cerebral that he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Then he kills his confidence by benching him in the 1st half vs. Louisiana Tech. Mullen could have done good things with him had he stuck around but I think he'd had just about enough of MSU that it didn't matter who the coach was. Croom also failed to turn that into any recrootin success down there. I recall leading for 2 or 3 Aquinas kids and then losing them all in 2008.

This wasn't about me you retard. You have cried in every single post. Hell, the post you cried about today was a State poster busting someone's balls. If you are going to post a vaginal rant every time someone has a smart *** comment on here, then you are going to be busy.

BTW, congrats on 51, i put your over/under at 60 and take the under. Now head on over to GP and tell them that some big meany on SPS was mean to you.

Well if your rebel *** is going to pay that much attention to my crybaby posts and worry about my post count then ill be happy, maybe it will keep you from trolling meaningful threads and stirring **** up. I guess I could take a cue from your HC and tell you I wish I would have never responded to you. What do you want? Want me to call you a bunch of names, insult you some more, leave you alone, what? I'm done with you in this thread, you are tiring. I'm sure I will see you in some other thread I've posted in that you have no business being in since you keep up with me so much.
