I am revising a thread I posted back on 12-18 for the new developments in recrootin. Basically I'm taking the month off and then will check out signing day. This being my last day, wondering what to expect. Again, I have no subscriptions to any recruiting sites, so I only see free stuff. We now have 20 commitments with 3 JUCOs. I have no clue who counts back towards the last class so I will assume we have 7 total spots left taking into consideration 2 attrition casualties (Sandberg would be included there).
Potential prospects:
Josh Dobbs - Atlanta
Asiantii Woolard - Tampa looks like we've parted ways
Jason Smith - Mobile (Rivals says he may visit) looks to stick with Auburn
Tony Conner - USP likely Ole Miss
Kailo Moore likely Ole Miss
Elijah Daniel - Indiana
Jalen Ramsey - Nashville pipedream
McKenzie Alexander - South Florida (supposedly has a brother that must come too) not in his favorites
Ashton Shumpert - Fulton
Jason Carr - Memphis
Toby Johnson - KS JUCO
Lavon Hooks - MS JUCO Ole Miss
Sunny Odogwu - Hargrave Miami, we stopped recruiting him
Deondre Skinner - Louisiana
Javess Blue - KS JUCO
Nate Willis - AZ JUCO
David Washington - MS JUCO
Donald Gray - Memphis
Terrell Basham - Hargrave
Derunnya Wilson - Birmingham
Riyahd Jones - KS JUCO
Not sure where we are on the JUCOs or if we're still even recruiting any of them outside Toby Johnson (visiting). Conner and Moore are still slight possibilities, but I'm not counting on it. Either way, I'm happy about the class. We're getting high talent guys who want to be at MSU. I was talking to a former central MS coach this week who said that MSU's recruiting is the best it's ever been, for the last few years. He said the only player we should be disappointed with the staff about is C.J. Johnson, because he's one that really wanted to be at MSU, but somehow we pissed off the family. Explains why he has such a chip on his shoulder about us.
So in other words, don't believe the Ole Miss spin machine. They try and make it like they are winning all these battles when in actuality we're winning far more. There are many of our recruits who wouldn't give Ole Miss the time of day. Think about it, we went into USP and have the top OL in the state committed to us.
