I have no subscriptions to any recruiting sites, so I only see free stuff. But by my count, we have 21 commitments with 3 JUCOs. I have no clue who counts back towards the last class so I will assume we have 4 spots left plus 2 more. 6 total. Just for sake of argument take away Sandberg, so we have 7 spots. Of those 7 spots, I assume we take a QB and then best available.

Potential prospects:

Josh Dobbs - Atlanta
Asiantii Woolard - Tampa
Jason Smith - Mobile (Rivals says he may visit)

Tony Conner - USP
Elijah Daniel - Indiana
Jalen Ramsey - Nashville
McKenzie Alexander - South Florida (supposedly has a brother that must come too)
Ashton Shumpert - Fulton (MSU lean)
Jason Carr - Memphis
Lavon Hooks - MS JUCO
Sunny Odogwu - Hargrave
Javess Blue - KS JUCO
Nate Willis - AZ JUCO
David Washington - MS JUCO
Donald Gray - Memphis
Terrell Basham - Hargrave
Riyahd Jones - KS JUCO

Am I missing anyone? From that list the obvious would be Dobbs, Conner, Shumpert, Alexander guys, and Hooks. To me anyway. Realistically I think we probably get one of the QBs (hopefully), Shumpert, Odogwu, Sanders, Washington and then take your pick.

Edited for JUCO signings.

Not likely to get Sanders at this point.

The rest of the list is pretty good. Although you are missing Donald Gray and Jason Carr.

Barton Simmons(24/7 national guy) basically said Donald Gray would commit to MSU if he made his test scores - and he thinks he's one of the most underrated guys in this class(largely due to grade concerns) and an absolute stud.

We can take 27. I think a few of our current commits(given injury situations, etc) may end up being greyshirt situations. There are ALOT of guys left on our board that you absolutely make room for if necessary...

Whatever happened to Montreal Jordan? Dandy Dozen then disappears. Also there's Dylan Bradley if we miss on all these other guys. He was pretty good in the All-Star game from what I hear, and we really need to be building up some good favor in Noxubee County after Croom killed it all with Omarr and Joey Sanders. No reason at all we shouldn't have signed Patterson, Vince Sanders and have that placed locked down from here on out. Could be bigger for us than South Panola.

Guess I should add Derrick Jones to the list, if we want him. Then you have other backup types in MS like Quintin Lane, Tony Bridges (3 star CB with no offers?), Xavier Pegues, etc. Southern will probably sign a decent MS class with all those guys. Then the fall back QBs like Adamson. Might need to get Reid Humphreys from the baseball team to play a little QB if we whiff.

Saw some dude named Kameron Myers did well at the all star game too.

Jordan apparently ended up not being near as good as initially thought. I know he left alot to be desired when he came to our camp.

Cameron Myers is a little guy from charleston. He is fast and quick in the mold of tubby Lewis. Lots of ability just size is an issue. I think 5'8" 170 or so. Mix made some comments that someone needed to get on him. He did show out in the all star game along with Bradley and the rb from fairhope committed to vandy.

Weird that two MS schools lead for a recruit from Indiana.

This is why I think it is absolutely idiotic for anyone from either of our schools to pull against Alabama or any other SEC school(other than each other obviously -- although I'll honestly be pulling for OM) in the bowl games.

The SEC's rise has allowed us to ALL compete for nationally prominent players. We've got to maintain the perception that everyone else is basically the minor leagues. Once the new TV money starts rolling in this year, the sky is the limit for both of us...

Two schools of thought on this. One side says pull against Alabama (and the SEC) because they are our direct competition. But the other side says, Alabama cannot possibly get any better or recruit any better. It just can't happen. So what's the easiest and best way to shorten the gap? For them to fall or us to rise? Long term I think the latter would be more beneficial.

I think this is the rest of our targets. Crazy how many elite players we still have on our board. % are just my guess, no inside info besides boards.
5* DT Lavon Hooks - State, OM, and Washington - no need do say anything about. No clue on him.
4* RB Ashton Shumpert - State or OM - visiting 1/18 - 75%
4* CB Jalen Ramsey - State or USC - already visited - 33%
4* DE Elijay Daniel - State or OM - already visited - 50%
4* DE Jason Carr - State, Tenn, or OM - visiting 1/11 - 20%
4* Joshua Dobbs - State or Arizona State - visiting 1/11 - 60% (Coaches must feel really good since no other QBs prospects have come up)
4* Ath Donald Gray - State or ??? - visiting 1/11 - 75%
4* DT Toby Johnson - State, UGA, Miami, Arizona State, or Oklahoma - visiting 1/11 - 30%
4* CB MacKensie Alander - State, Clemson, or Texas A&M - visiting 1/11 - 33%
3* S Mackenro Alexander - ???? - visiting 1/11(figured he would with his brother) - noclue%
3* OT Sunny Odogwu - State, Texas Tech, or Miami - already visited - 75%
3* WR De'Runnya Wilson - State or Auburn - 75%
3* DT David Washington - State, Texas Tech, or Kansas - visiting in January?? - noclue%
1/11 is going to be a big week. Looks like we are bringing in all non-committed out-of-state players then, in-state players 1/18, and out-of-state committed players 1/25.

I feel pretty good about Shumpert. Had a MSU sweat top unconspiculously conspicous under his coat the other day.

No Tony Conner? Longshot, sure, but no more so than some of the others on the list.
