I know facebook has been discussed. As for social networking sites such as myspace, facebook, and twitter, can college coaches be friends with recruits on those sites? If so, are they limited in their posts similar to the way they are with phone calls? How about contacting through those sites during dead periods? Does the NCAA control coaches using the social networking sites to recruit?

I know people have mentioned reading a recruit's facebook page. I can't interpret half of what they are saying or spelling without CIA code encryption software. They type in a language that isn't English, or else I'm just getting too old. Probably the latter.

Ive seen several articles on BDJ where a recruit will say that they talk regularly with Mullen on Facebook. </p>

I'm sure there's no rule YET. It's kinda like what text messaging was a few years ago when you had coaches sending out thousands of messages per day, basically because there was no such regulation on the new technology.

A recruit can talk/contact a coach as much as they want as long as the recruit initiates the contact.
