Going to be fun and laughable watching him and CJ landsharting their way to 2 wins next season. Enjoy playing for that winning Rebel program!!!!

It sucks to lose him the way that we did, but if the Bears are expecting a freshman DE to come in and lead them to a bowl game, they are in for a let down.

Ward..well, that's disappointing of course. Erbody, let's not losee sight of the fact that we have one hell of a class committed. Best we have had in many many years, if not ever on the defensive side. We can't win everybody on our board, but we are getting almost all of them and that is awesome.

Now look at TSUN. They pulling 1 big recruit per year that we really wanted while the rest of their class is mediocre to bad. They only have like 12-13 commits!!! Schools on probation do better than that!

Channing is going to play for an old fossil DC named Dave Wommack. Until they have have 2 more years of losing 8-10 games per season. Then he probably gets another DC.

I love Channing Ward and wish we could have gotten him. Regardless, the TSUN defense is still going to be awful while our's is going to dominate.

But I am hoping we can get the two Browns on board.

Coach (or anybody else in the know), how do you feel about Richie and Beniquez Brown as of today, and also, If Ward is off of the board, who do you see as the next best available if we have 3 spots?

play with his brother. Our staff hasn't actually heard from Channing in a couple of weeks which covers the dead period and bowl practice time frame.

But I think we have a real good shot at Liggins and I would hardly call that settling for any qb we can find.

Just like Robert Kirby "had" to get Tyler Adams from Brandon last year, Freeze "had" to make a big push on a commit to make the lemmings excited in Oxford. The thing is Channing going there goes completely against everything that he has said over the past year. Like I said previously in the thread, Ward will not be a game changer for them next season. They have too many problems. The spirit and rivals crews will have a 4-hour erection after the announcement, but they will become impotent for 4 months coming in September.

Ward just doesn' really want to play at MSU. Quay's influence may have been our only shot there. I'm sure OM used whatever leverage they had to pull him their way but I just never really saw sincere interest from him for our program. Don't know if it was influence from his Bear brother over the past few years or that we aren't much into the heppin' business or something else. But I agree with Coach that we have an excellent class already and need to really focus our resources on the viable targets still left like the Browns, Moore, Liggins and Jefferson. Those are the primary ones I'm aware of. Apparently Ward will likely still take his official but people just need to understand that he's not coming and not go postal about it all over the message boards.

Ward is the only recruit I have any info on. As I said all alongit would be a huge upset in recruiting if WE got him.

I haven't seen any confirmation on his brother actually getting a scholarship. At the same time, we'd be fools not to offer his brother a scholarship if that's what it takes.

Channing's brother, Taurus, would count against our 25 signing class, only the 85 total. He'd only be on scholarship for 2 years, as he has already redshirted and played two years of juco.

For Ward only a few weeks ago and now say we are in the lead and have any semblance of credibility with anyone on here.

It's like Rosebowl and Gene had a bastard child who hates Stans and now pretends to have recruiting scoop, when it's clear he is just making crap up.

Also it's funny for any MSU fan to make fun of a package deal after what Mullen attempted last year.

Not to mention that he is working on a package deal this season by offering Kivon Coleman. I think its a great tactic, but I'm not the one shitting on package deals.

we've wanted him all along. In fact, in the latest post season rankings he is rated as the 25th best player in AL (B Brown rated 16th). That's probably equivalent to Top 15 to 20 in MS given the larger depth of talent in AL. He has had an excellent senior season.

You just don't seem to understand what a package deal is. In a package deal, it's both or nothing.Our coaches love Koman,just like Market, and theyare coming to or atState on their own merits regardless of what those close to them do.

Why are you so damn awful?

Add in the quote from Ward himself that he didn't want to play for a rebuilding program, and a lot of people didn't have Ole Miss in the picture. OM = major rebuilding project.

Desper and wants to come to MSU. We are supposedly in good shape with Liggins but I expect the Bears to go down fighting on him.
