Just admit you don't know ****, like the rest of us. Coaches don't know, message boards don't know, recruitniks don't know. Only people who know are the players (and their 'handlers').<div>
</div><div>But at least the recruitniks have found out that they can make money by blowing sunshine up idiots' asses and pretending like they know something. For that, I give them props.</div>

Regardless, Mullen has been the king of the attempted package deal, so I wouldn't make fun of it.

Whether he really liked the tag along or not he made pushes for packages to try to get Brassell, Singleton, Morrow, Quay Evans, and B. Brown over the past 2 years.

He may consider some of those tag alongs decent enough talents but he still made strong pushes for them to get his foot in the door for the bigger fish.

There isn't a problem doing that. We've done it in the past and will do it in the future with varying degrees of success. Just don't make fun of it unless you plan to call out your own coach if he does the same.

On Ward, if we are giving his brother a 2 year scholarship to get him that's a good deal. He won't count against our 25 and he likely won't impact the 85 after we go through attrition and bad seeds being run off. In other words it'll be a scholarship that would go unused otherwise.

..even as I state the obvious.

He has already run off HD6, Constanza & some others I can't remember at the moment.

When coach34 just repeats conventional wisdom ******** about recruiting, & claims his conventional wisdom ******** should be pinned to the top of the page, there is at least a 50/50 chance his conventional wisdom ******** will be pinned to the top of the page.

I'm saying in the case of Koman and Market, those guys get offers without Brassell and Brown. Are there times Mullen may do that? Im sure, but not the case with those 2. Now kindly go f*ck yourself.

So what's the point of your post? To say that Mullen does indeed offer package deals and so does Freeze or any other coach for that matter. So, Mullen or any other coach do something that's completely normal? <div>
</div><div>Good insight right there.</div><div>
</div><div>I don't really care to call out any of our coaches if they are having winning seasons and winning bowl games. I'll let you worry about package deals. Pretty obvious Mullen's recruiting tactics haven't been that bad. I think the entire country realizes we have top 30 type talent but unfortunately so does 4 other SEC west teams.</div><div>
</div><div>I guess I'll get ready for your retort about how we'll fall flat on our faces once Croom's recruits leave.</div>

...I've locked off coach34 so when I am logged in, I can't read his ******** or reply to his ********. But, unfortunately, I can still read his thread titles.

If you were a team player, you would lobby for dawgstudent to ban his disruptive *** so the decent posters he ran off will return.

But that's not going to happen. You are not that guy.

if that is true, that is the biggest ***** **** ive ever heard. Take my ball and go home? Not getting picked in kickball? You have "locked" him....***** ****. You fukrs take yourselves too damn serious. HD6 still trolls over on nafoom and interjects himself into a few threads attempting to wield some sort of authority or big dick status from time to time. This place really has turned into gpish

Otherwise its just more **** talk from Gene's Pack. It's about as consequential to my day as one of my kids making a fart joke. I'm not going to go making any t-shirts or anything over it.

By any objective measurement, it's pretty ***** for anybody to post on a sports messageboard (yes, I include myself).

If anybody here has ever gotten a girl to go to bed with them because she was impressed with your awesome post on the sixpackspeak.com board, then please share that anecdote with the rest of us. That will definitely warrant a lifetime of free chat.

Fact is your 2007, 2008, and 2009 classes were all pretty strong. It remains to be seen how strong the 10 and 11 classes are.

Time will tell. Based on the way those classes closed I don't expect them to be as good as the previous 3, but that's an opinion at this point. I can't state that as a fact.

All I know is that we hired one of the two coaches I wanted. Whether it works out remains to be seen, but the two things I know for sure are 1) we are going to be very creative on offense, and 2) we are going to be very aggressive on the recruiting trail.

I am confident those two things should lead to very good results in the not so distant future. Again time will tell, but I think the guy we have is a better recruiter than the one you have and I think he's a more creative offensive mind.

I will be glad to tell you if I'm wrong 4 years from now, but that's my opinion.

1) Define "not so distant future".

2) When are you going to admit that your hype from winning February the last several years has all been woefully wrong?

I don't know a Mississippi fan that wanted Freeze. They were talking about Fedora, Sumlin, Smart, Leach, and Dungy. About half of the boards were pissed when Freeze was hired, but then got excited that he would "recruit like Orgeron". I swear, some of the Mississippi fans only care about recruiting. If they sign a 5* that doesn't make it to campus, it's ok because they won the recruiting rankings that made their program look somewhat relevant against the big boys. For someone that has claimed in the past that they don't know much about recruiting, you sure as **** know a lot now, Bruiser.

ANd if your staff doesn't have a plan for some defense, then it will not matter how creative your offense is.

knowwylie identitity and/or your spouse's. Worried that your inferiority complex has overcome your common sense, because you and Rebelbruiser are constantly over here defending/deflecting everything that gets mentioned in passing about Bear country. Without the Pack, you would have nothing to do, because it's all gay **** all of the time on Nafoom. So go back to Yancy's, eat a Xanex, drink a bottle of Cab, and rub one another into a tizzy about getting Ward!

I mean after the last two years you can still work yourself into thinking Freeze will have you competitive in short time is amazing. Your last coach was a better 'recruiter' than our current coach but that didn't work out to well. When will you come to grips that Mullen is a great talent evaluator and developer. And maybe Freeze is creative on Offense but it'll be quite a while before he has enough talent to make anything happen. Oh and you'll be getting another D Coordinator sooner rather than later. Wommack was terrible at Ga Tech, that guy is a retread dinosaur Sorry to break the news to you. And frankly I don't have much confidence in the Retarded Kiffin Brother either. An upgrade on D will be made, maybe Wommack is just the best he could do on short notice, kind of like Torbush.

Hahaha. The 2007 and 2008 classes were, overall, pretty bad. Keep spinning that, though, to think we've hit our peak. We should incrementally improve over each of the next 3 years.

I have 17 post on this board since November 1st before today.

I have 13 post on Nafoom since September 1st.

I shall now go hang my head in shame at the utter embarrassment of being "owned" on the internet.

You would have never admitted that our classes were strong back in 07, 08 or 09. Just stop posting. Your credibility is ****. Your opinion has never been anything other than pro-Ole Miss. Just admit you're a ridiculous homer and people might start listening to your idiotic vomit again.

Not exactly true. But you really cannot tell who knows and who doesnt. There are also people who are as close to the situation as can be and still get it wrong because of outdated info.

Ward is not some late breaking news item. Ole Miss has been on him hard for a couple of years. He might very well go somewhere else and blow everyones mind. I'll bet some assistant coaches for Aberdeen, some friends and some relatives know and they dont handle him at all.

The amount of wrong in this thread is staggering.

1)You were never in it for Ward. Never.

2) Evans doesn't now, nor has he ever, had any impact on Ward's decision. Never.

3) As I have stated here before, Evans nor James will never play a down of football at State. Never. Even offered a bet that no one here would take.

4) MS State has zero chance of landing Richie Brown. 0% He's going to Ole Miss or TN.

5) If you are into recruiting rankings(I'm not), MS State is where they are in the rankings due to basically having a finished class. Rankings are based on total points, not average stars. You have a slight lead here, but won't by signing day. You will finish around where you usually do. 35th or so. Certainly not bad, but it will be funny reading your spin on it when your two top rated players don't get in school. Especially when you have brought that up about Ole Miss(and rightfully so), over the last two years. But, when it's you, it won't get brought up here.

Go ahead and start the namecalling. It has become expected over here at Gene's Page II.
