I've heard that Ole Miss is planning a large student gathering in their grove to welcome all the recruits as they walk the "walk of champions" or whatever they call it.

Is this a violation? If not, why is it that we do not utilize our student body to create large audiences for recruits?

Just curious.

If its started by "random" students, then no foul. If its started by the SA, but foul. It's basically nothing you can control. Move along.

I heard there would be a separate party close by, with people using blankets to cover themselves ** if not, needs to be**

It's not a violation in Oxford, but would be in Starkville...

...word to MSU students: Dare not try this crap with our recruits. It will do nothing but blow up our recruiting class. I'll go ahead & state the obvious here: Long ago, the NCAA decided the University of Mississippi could play by a different set of recruiting rules. Don't pout or ask why. Just accept that fact & behave yourselves.

While you will be in the stadium playing football.

Which is obviously why we were handed such a stiff penalty...

following Brewer's stint in Oxford, because we get leeway.

You are a nurse, which means you are educated...

..which means you have enough sense to realize if a bunch of MSU students tossed a pep rally for a bunch of MSU commitments, it would lead to catastrophic consequences for MSU. But maybe you are not really a nurse at all. Maybe you are just some misfit troll who gets his kicks by coming to MSU sports boards & acting like an idiot. (I'm leaning to the later).

Don't blame OM for doing an EXCELLENT job of recruiting and pushing on the rulebook that OBVIOUSLY will never blow up on SEC schools under Slive -- blame ourselves for having a dumbass highschool administrator in charge of compliance instead of a lawyer AND private counsel like EVERYONE ELSE in the SEC...

Fun fact: Bracky had a conniption fit when we made signs for recruits at the basketball game a few years back. I don't remember if we got hit with a secondary violation for that or not, but I remember 14 kinds of hell being raised to get us to stop doing it...

Freeze is probably prepared to take any slap on the wrist.......

that comes from it. Who cares anyway, I don't care if they cheat their asses off, as long as they don't come after us. When they do **** like the Devinner deal and Xenareb, let's burn those mother ******* down.

I hope, as some here have alluded to, that there really is an organized group aimed at blowing their **** up after that stunt.

Correct again- and here's what I think needs to happen

The students at MSU need to just make signs at basketball games and do the "unorganized coincidental" pep rally thing anyway. Just do it. If Bracky stops the students- it needs to be brought out to as many public MSU forums as possible. It's not like they are going to kick anyone out of school and ruin some students long term future over this.

If it takes the SA organizing it- do it off the record.

Either way- one of two things is going to happen- either Bracky is going to try to stop it, people are going to make it known that he tried to stop it and Stricklin is going to face a LOT of pressure to get rid of Bracky. That- or Bracky is going to allow it so that he can still have a job.

I'm hearing that any recruit wanting to enter this year's dance-off will be required to slow dance with Yancy Porter to the tune of "Cherish" by Kool and the Gang! Should be a grindin good time in Ocsford. Creepy Creepy fanbase they are.
