The theory is that stoops is recruiting at the highest level we have ever seen. But is it true? The majority of his best class I feel like is no longer on the roster or is severely under developed.
That's the one.If you are referring to 2014 then several of those guys have been recruited over (Long, Tucker, Snodgrass, Horton, Williams) some have graduate (Johnson, Stamps, Flannigan)
some are injured (West, Barker, Baker) and several are contributors (Elam, Stallings, Randolph, Ware, Middleton, Edwards, Johnson, Williams, Walker, Dubose) That leaves Bone, Tubman, Richardson, LaRubbio, Firious, Tubman, Krok
My point is. If the class was that good why isn't half the class on the roster. Tubman got a tough draw of course but everybody else, other than who graduated, got recruited over by guys with lower ranking. I guess I'm starting to question the whole "they are good at evaluating talent" thing since our best and highest rated recruiting class isn't make much of an impact. Or does it come down too them not knowing what the hell to do with talent after it arrives in Lexington?
Contributing just enough to lose to southern miss. Contributing just enough to let one of the worst teams in the country hang 42. Talk about a group of over achieversOver half the class is starting or contributing. Three of the guys injured were starting or would be starting. There are only 22 starters.

Yeah you don't see my point. It's the best we have ever seen. His best class from 2014 are juniors and rs sophomores, and they can't manage more than 5 wins a season. This "best" recruiting we have seen have under achieved so much and that it is sickening. I'm not questioning who they signed or recruited. I'm questioning whether they are really worth a damn or is the coaching just that bad that we can't beat so miss. And can't keep nmsu under 20 points. That's my point. Are our players really that good like we are lead to believe.
When the product matches the out come that we see on Saturdays. I'll say the recruiting is the best we have ever seen. Rich brooks 2-3 star guys would beat this team like they stole something.
Lol but they do in 4. And look what year we are in. Get out of hereOh, you were being passive aggressive. Sorry, I didn't pick up on that.
By the way, football programs don't get turned around by 1 or 2 recruiting classes that have reached their redshirt junior and sophomore years.
Lol but they do in 4. And look what year we are in. Get out of here
Everyone always brings up Brooks and his tenure when talking about fans wanting Stoops gone. The difference? Rich finished 8-5 with a bowl win in his fourth season. Stoops will most likely only win 4 games this year (in his 4th season). After the season can we finally put this crap comparison to bed and finally move in the right direction.
I'm saying it is all garbage.4 games into year 4 by my last count. So what's your ***** the recruiting rankings, the coaches, or both? You are talking in circles.
I'm saying it is all garbage.
You seem certain about the 4 wins. So did you want Brooks fired in year 4 when he was 3-5 coming off a 49-0 loss at LSU? Be honest. Let's not forget that UK came back from the dead to beat Central Michigan early in that season and beat Louisiana Monroe 42-40 in the next to last game of the year. ULM was 4-8 and we gave up 40 points, sound familiar?
I'm sure you weren't doing much with your life anywayWell there is an hour I'll never get back
If Stoops is dead set on running a 3/4 D he needs to recruit players with higher IQ's that can understand and grasp the concepts of it.....with what we have on that side of the ball we are much better suited for 4/3. The KISS concept.....Keep It Simple Stoopid! The theory is that stoops is recruiting at the highest level we have ever seen. But is it true? The majority of his best class I feel like is no longer on the roster or is severely under developed.

Yes I'm fairly certain about 4 wins. But for arguments sake, let's say he pulls out 5. Still a far cry from 8-5 and a bowl win. And honestly yes, I was uneasy about Brooks. Not on a Stoops level, but uneasy, yes. That's why I said after the season we can put the comparison to bed. At that point we'll have equal ground to compare on. And if we're literally comparing the two schedules, show me where Rich Brooks lost to a Sunbelt level team at home.
You mean like when Brooks lost to MAC team Ohio at home in 2004 at home?
The 2014 class I believe.
