Red Springs stays in games because they can move the ball. Def. not bad but not great ither. SC should be able to move the ball at will. Their Def. is just not consistent.
I don't know much about Red Springs but they went toe to toe with Fairmont and that says a lot!
Red Springs is no St.Pauls on defense. When things don't go right, some players get chippie.

St Pauls had the best defense we've seen since Wallace those guys flocked to the ball and #5 was no joke. I'm gonna take south in this one 35-22.

Yes they are very talented on defense, hard to pass against and stout against the run. They tend to put 7-8 in the box.
Hope you're right Redd, lot of football left to play against good football teams. But I feel like our young guys are gelling and coach dove has them really grinding. Hope we will be peaking come playoff time.
Absolutely right swett, South is a young team and we definitely can't overlook anyone.
He was ejected in the last game RS had played before Fairmont. My understanding was that he would not be able
to play in his next game.

All I know is that you spooked me when you expressed the concern/situation during the Fairmont/Red Springs game. Makes me curious if he will play tonight

#9 was a load but he did not make or break this game. Too many penalties on RS. 32-6 with 4 minutes to go.
Terrible ending to a stout game for us, Spencer our quarterback gets hurt potentially a broken forearm and our backup quarterback is out so we fumble 3 quarterback running back exchanges and red springs capitalizes very late to make the score look better. Final 39-22. A lot to be concerned about with the Stallions quarterback situation, with two tough opponents remaining in Whiteville and Fairmont.
The defense played really hard tonight Swett, leggett had a big night for us on defense and offense and made a huge strip fumble for a touchback on number 9 thst set the tone in the second half. The injury to spencer just kind of put everyone on defense and in the stadium in shock
Great news there strong, I had heard that he had surgery and was out. I think if spencer has to miss time that he can get the job done. Praying for Robbie and family.
Just a bang bang play, spencer plays linebacker and quarterback and got hurt on defense, word was that it might be a broken forearm bone.
Just confirmed NO broken bones or dislocation in arm, hyper extended and potential ligament damage. Kid really doesn't wanna miss the Whiteville game, plays with a ton of heart everybody's hoping for the best!
Hopefully it was just a hyperextended arm with minimal injury. SC needs him in these next two games. Good game by SC all around last night. RS had good players just couldn't capitalize on plays and had too many penalties.
