Final 20-9. Senzel fouling off pitch after pitch to keep the inning alive when it didn't matter. Showed me something there in the 9th with 2 strikes and 2 outs.

Hopefully Williamson & the offense show up tomorrow. Hitting came too little, too late for this bludgeoning. Weaver going Thursday, need him to at least be serviceable and the offense do their job.

Makes the return of Greene & Lodolo all that much more important and just hope they will have enough starts to get their timing back for a postseason run. Overall the starting pitching has held up for months now considering how many new comers are in the rotation. Still only Ashcraft as of today who was in the original 5-man starting rotation on Opening Day.

Starting pitching in the 1st 2 games has not been the greatest.

Last 2 nights I don't know what the hell he is thinking. 3 more years of this and at some point you have to trust the guys that have gotten you this far. Fraley sitting 2 nights in a row and Newman hitting leadoff with Senzel 2nd? Senzel is practically an automatic out, lucked into a couple last night. It's one thing to play the righty vs lefty splits though Drew Smyly isn't exactly Clayton Kershaw out there. If you play LH Benson & Votto, Friedl & Fraley could be out there too. As tight as the division/wildcard race is it's not time to get cute. Reds have had success putting up 12 runs on Smyly this year.

Nice play by Senzel in the 2nd.

Hoping Steer and Stephenson are coming out of their funk. Votto is back. Williamson so far has followed his best ever start with another good outing. 3-0 good guys.

What's weird is the guys who've been struggling, other than EDLC, are all playing.
Votto was 3 for 22 vs lefties entering the game. I ***** about it and of course he homers. :) Never fails.

Newman has a hit and Senzel with 2 really nice plays at 3rd.

Ill shut up from now on.

I should but I know I won't. 🤣

Actually Friedl has been struggling as well and probably could use a breather but up until today, Bell has been only giving rest to one guy at a time. Today it's Friedl, Fraley and EDLC. So far so good.

Spoke too soon 3-2.

I'd rather complain and the Reds prove me wrong doing the right thing as long as they're winning. For some, would rather be right and see the Reds fail so long as it fits their narrative. Will eat my crow at the end of the day if it works out.

The way the ball has been jumping and in Windy City, dreading Luke Weaver after the pitching the Reds have gotten and the bad defense too.

Enough of Senzel. I know its a collective effort everyone pissing it away but enough of Nick Senzel already.

Agreed. And this is exactly why I made the post about the horrendous lineup Bell trotted out there before the game started. Its going to be difficult having to watch this imbecile coach the next 3 years.

Senzel's got the yips now after starting the game so well at 3rd. Now his 3rd error in 3 innings I think. 🤣
Error Votto who will never be confused with Hal Morris at 1st. Cubs 14-6

They're young but I think they'll be fine. The pitching couldn't have been better since the break and was way overdue for a letdown. The defense hasn't been impressive for several years now but I'd be okay if Senzel never played infield again and Votto was primarily the DH. Losing Lively is going to hurt though unless Greene is ready by Sunday. Hoping the bullpen can't get much worse than the last 2 games and obviously Maile didn't help. Bell might consider resting one guy at a time again.
