I hope that's all it is.I bet one of the boxes in the octobox will have a commercial when that specific game goes to commercial.
There are times in the afternoon slot where a break would be appropriate.I hope that's all it is.
They do have a 10 percent stake in it.This wasn’t an ESPN call. If you read the parameters of the new deal, they are not buying Red Zone. They just now have the ability to bundle it with their services (similar to what they do now with HBO Max).
This was an NFL call.
This is a joke right?Football doesn't make enough money as it is now.
Screw you ESPN.
1. It's called slippery slope. It starts this little but then slowly you'll tolerate more and more until redzone is having full screen commercials every 5 minutes. For a paid premium service offered 18 days out of the year - that's ridiculous to have any. If it was free, different story. What’s gonna take up more time?
2 to 3 mins total of commercials over 7 hrs or that song that gets sung before the national anthem that isn’t that big of a deal to you?
I’m assuming you are really young and don’t remember watching movies on TBS and FX1. It's called slippery slope. It starts this little but then slowly you'll tolerate more and more until redzone is having full screen commercials every 5 minutes. 2. So weird how the "lift every voice" song is on trial and all the complaints about it could fit for the national anthems being played before sports games. Both songs are "out of place" and "bore fans" in what should be "hype up moments". But both songs also "pay respect to a broad range of folks" and "give a sense of pride".
I'm of the opinion that we should keep sports about sports and keep politics out. Which a lot of people agree with hearing that sentence but then don't like when I say that means we shouldn't do national anthems except on special occasions (vet's day; 9/11; memorial day) because those are much more impactful - I still remember how awesome NC State 2021 felt. I'd much rather hear my school's marching band play songs that give me pride about my school when watching college football than think about the country. It even feels like more political theater televising these songs for a private organization like the 20 minutes of slog before kickoff last night.
TV used to not have any commercials at all in the first broadcasts. And then it slowly creeped in with the brought to you bys until it kept sliding further into the shittiness. It happens to every service every time. Movies used to not have ads. Now they have 30 minutes of them before the damn movie.I’m assuming you are really young and don’t remember watching movies on TBS and FX
The overwhelming majority of movies on tv and games on tv have always had commercials and a lot of 17ing commercials.
but speaking of a slippery slope
Sure you aren’t smart enough to realize how hypocritical or lack of critical reasoning this is
having a “black” national anthem and a “white” national anthem is about as slippery as tou can get
is segregation good or bad?
ETA: you have a choice with redzone
You can simply not pay for it. Capitalism and all.
Can’t really understand how the national anthem of America is political unless you are unamericanTV used to not have any commercials at all in the first broadcasts. And idc about having two anthems. I want none. It's ****** sports - leave the politics out of it. You wanna make it a race thing when I just wanna grill and watch football. Woke snowflakes politicizing everything.
Do you play the national anthem over the loudspeaker every day before going to work at your private business? No.Can’t really understand how the national anthem of America is political unless you are unamerican
