Kentucky is the number 1 or 2 payroll in the nation, even if he didn’t get a dime in NIL, just being around those guys as teammates you know they’re all gonna break you off some here and there. And that walking around money, that couch cushion money, would amount to 1000x more than he could get at Miami.

Pope probably tried to get him cheap, since he was a hometown kid and the kid decided he might rather actually play and make some money and is using the UK offer to improve his NIL offers. Can’t blame him for doing that, if that is the case. Get as much as you can, while you can.
I mean let's be realistic the guy isn't worth anything.

Seems that Davis Sisk think we are still far from getting him

Given the track record we've had in transfer predictions, that basically means we're guaranteed to get this dude. That's not a knock on our intel guys... Just commentary on the bats*** crazy portal.

That’s a little harsh. Everyone is worth something to somebody.

Christ did die for all of us, even the worst of us.
I'm talking about to Pope. You said Pope must be trying to get him cheap but what should he pay for a guy like this when the frontcourt is loaded.

If he isn’t worth anything, then why does Pope want him?

You must mean he isn’t worth much.

Of course. I've seen people accusing Pope of lowballing Perry but the guy played poorly after being given a chance last season. Some times players need to look in the mirror and be honest about where they are as a player.

And sometimes players need to believe in themselves and go to a program that believes in them enough to pay them a little more.

It’s a business.

If my employer doesn’t want to pay me what I think I am worth, then I should try to find one that will.

Unless I am really happy and content where I am.

At the same time my lack of being great on the job (not being about to guard a grandma)might make me realize I might not be all that. Just saying...

Potter's size and ability to hit the three well is a good start for a guy with upside. With the coaching here and the competition in practice a guy like this has a chance to improve in a lot of areas in a years time. I personally like having that extra big on the roster that has a lot of potential. If a big has an injury then we still have plenty of height at least with a guy that does have some talent to work with. And the 15 scholly's why should he be a walk-on with the potential he has?

That's fine but for people to accuse Pope of being in the wrong and lowballing guys like Perry is stupid.
I certainly don’t blame Pope. Pope offered Perry what he thought he was worth. I’m sure it was around the market value for a 12th man on a roster.

But obviously Perry thought he was worth more and went to a program (Ole Miss) that obviously thought he was worth more.

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

It’s a business. You get what you can, while you can.

Guys just don't want to redshirt anymore but seems like you could improve, get an extra year and make more money. I just don't get why players are against it.

Practice piece...

Moreno looks way better than him already

But if we have major injuries in frontcourt next season, Potter could be playable to have 5-10 mins...
Based on ? I have not seen Moreno in a college game yet, maybe you have some tape I haven't seen ???? If so, please share it on here, would love to see it.
