et al and gene/steve et al..........i don't visit msu boards other than the sixpack but i will say that there has been for a long time a regular stream of ole miss folks who claimed to have been banned by gene for "nothing". have no idea if it really was gene being too controlling or not. that said what apparently brought this to the forfront was rosebowl posting on an ole miss board under a false user name posing as a txtech fan claiming nutt was interviewing for the TT job. he got caught and was banned. IMO for one of the "professionals" of the board to get caught pulling this is worthy of bannation. now for one of us run of the mll yahoos it's no big deal but sr IMO deserved it. don't know if this info has been pointed out in the various disscussion.........of for that matter if anybody really cares......but there you go.

Both are run by overly sensitive control freaks that ban just about everyone that so much as slightly disparages their beloved alma mater. Both are populated by the worst element of their respective fan bases. (ie MSU76 and vinnyvegas). Neither is any better than the other. They are both, in a word,.....ghey.

Personally, I think they both exaggerate it. Both Chuck and Gene claim to never ban anybody unless they are just constantly flaming so something doesn't add up.
In addition, I was told that Steve claims he did not make the Texas Tech post and that the Ole Miss admins are making that claim but refuse to show the ip address they claim was his so that he can prove it.
If you read the free boards at BOTH sites it is embarrassing that a number of those people are fans of our respective schools. Last time I went to the Ole Miss scout board there was a guy named Lumberg that should be an embarrassment to Ole Miss fans, especially the ones that say LSU is their rival....

I'll put MSU76 up against almost anyone. At least Backer tried to make rational arguments back in his glory days. Typically very bad arguments are ridiculous rumors, but at least there was some reasoning behind them.

His all caps subject lines are such a desperate plea for attention as are all the PMs he claims to get, or used to anyway because I don't read a word he posts anymore.
Like I said, I don't care... I was just posting what I was told. He claims they are lying that it was his ip address because of the subscribers that were mad they kept seeing his name in the "users on-line" and wanted him banned.

that GP has Gene actually doing the banning (an owner and admin), and the primary banning problem at the Spirit seems to be zricz and umclass77, a couple of random idiots.
At least that's how I have always thought it to be, as I haven't been to GP in 3 or 4 years. I don't know if Gene has now given banning ability to other people.

One of the times I got banned from there zricz made up a pm he said I sent him and sent it to chuck. Evidently it was a pm of me talking **** about chuck and saying I would do what I wanted on that board. I told chuck to go into my account and look in my pm box to find that message and to go into zricz box and find where I sent it, but hecnever would. I have been told by a few people on that board that zricz is a huge drunk that just gets hammered everynight and really doesn't remember what he does on that board the night before. Sounds like a real winner
