Keen observations indeed.

It would not bother me in the least if both Region A semis were held at a nearby neutral school.

In fact, I would be 100% in favor of all sports (besides Football) in Region A playing the Region semis at a neutral site.

The semis are the important games, not the region title game.

How are the finals not important considering the winner gets to host the first round of the state playoffs? Should the state quarter finals be at a neutral site as well?

Oh...interesting.

If a team loses in the Region Semis, the season is over for the losing team.

If a team loses in the Region Championship, the season continues anyway for the losing team and they still earn the honor of making it to the State tournament. Plus, they could still win it all (albeit it is a much harder road being on the road).

The Region semi is the game that a team HAS to win. Therefore, it seems fairly obvious to me as to which game is the most important but to each his own thoughts....
