Not exactly. A loss by either team will hurt. If Caroline wins on Friday they will pick up 29 points and Courtland will pick up 17. If Courtland wins they will pick up 29 points and Caroline will pick up 17. Of course each will accrue additional rider points from past opponents.

@m-squared2, I did some hypothetical math assuming Caroline and Huguenot wins. I gave each team the maximum rider points If Caroline wins they will have 29.75 and If Huguenot wins (highly likely) they will have 27.875. if Caroline loses they will have 27.375.

Thanks for all the info! How do rider points work? Wouldn't Courtland earn 1 or 2 more rider points from the game itself than Caroline would since Caroline has one more win than Courtland?

The winner picks up 22 class points, plus 2 rider points for each win the team they beat has. the loser gets 1 point for each win. Teams get 2 points from each win a team they beat earns and 1 point for each win a team that beat them earns. Example: Courtland gets one point Everytime Louisa wins and 2 points Everytime Spotsylvania wins.
