Regional Changes from latest Alignment Committee Meeting

I know that the VHSL has been following this re-alignment plan to try to keep the playing field as level as possible. And that is a good thing.

But, a by-product is that it changes up the potential school matchups enough to to add a lot of excitement.

Just think about all the interest that occurred when Blacksburg and Lafayette moved up. All of us "bleacher experts" had a blast making predictions. And that is an example of just two of many changes.

I like it it when things get shaken up a little every few years. One of my favorite sayings is, "if you like things the way they are, they will never change!"

could not agree more. I am a BB person but am very interested in seeing how Goochland football adjust to being in Class 3 and how MLWGS olympic sports fare in a higher division

Didn’t Goochland fare pretty well when they were in 3 last time? They were in the Jefferson district and won a couple district championships if I’m correct
