1. 5 SEC hosts (OM, GA, FL, LSU, Ark)
2. 2 Nat'l seeds (Ark, LSU)-- I look for ole miss to be a national seed when its all said and done.
3. 8 SEC teams in.
4. Preseason no. 1 TX A&M is a 2 seed.
5. Hawaii is a 2 seed.
6. Louisville is in the Last 10 OUT.

I think we are certainly capable, but we're going to have to play almost a month of top-level baseball to get there. I think we'll slip up and either lose a series or get knocked out of the tourney earlier than we'd like. We'll still get the regional host, but it will lose us the national seed.

is two out of three and Cohen to get tossed in one of the games.

that Cohen is quite entertaining to watch. He tried to get ejected from the Governor's Cup, but when he threw his gum onto the back of the home plate umpires pants, the other two were staring off into the outfield for some reason. The funny part was Cohen was looking around waiting for someone to give him the heave-ho, only to go back to the dugout shaking his head.

That's an approximation and doesn't take into account any SEC tournament games (which we know you'll have at least 2), but you certainly can't afford more than a couple of losses the rest of the way to have any chance at all. He says you need to go 7-4 to host, which I think you're looking real good to do.

is a real possibility and would put ole miss give ole miss 20 wins and in prime contention for the SEC title. Its going to be hard to not have that team as a national seed.
Auburn and State is 5 wins minimum. It all comes down to the Arkansas series. So much emphasis seems to be put on the SEC tournament in baseball that it really makes any of these projections difficult.

And boyd's number is just the record needed to get into the top 8 RPI. that's doesn't mean they can't get a national seed.

I've always thought Boyd's numbers for that RPI needs report are a little pessimistic. In reality, if we go 9-2 in our last 11, we'll probably be a top 8 RPI team. Usually as the season gets closer to the end, your record needed gets a little bit easier to attain.
