First, I'm pumped about taking the series. If I could pick one to win all year it would be LSU. But, I can't help but cringe when a ball is hit to 3rd. Reid hasn't played it this year to my knowledge, but didn't he come in as a 3rd baseman? When Robson comes back I wish we'd try Reid at 3rd, Robson Mangum and Rook in the OF and let Kruger/Collins DH. I'm not sure how that goes for match ups since Cohen is big on them though.

This definitely does not need to happen. Halfway through the season is not the time for position tryouts. If you stick Hump in the infield, you are seriously risking him losing his edge at the plate for concentrating on adapting at the bag.

If Collins is producing at the plate more than he's costing in the field, then he needs to be in the lineup. If not, there are others who are more capable.

Had this conversation yesterday about what happens when Robson comes back. You want Mangum, Robson, Humphreys and Rooker in the lineup every day.
If Kruger can catch defensively you can let Rooker or Humphreys DH.

Collins is far from a Gold Glover over there but he has improved.

No way I'd take Marrero out from behind the plate though. He's turning into a 17ing stud defensively at throwing out runners. Regardless of what happens, all of this is a very good problem to have. It's a good thing *

No doubt and his offense has been better than his numbers indicate in SEC play. Seems like he's sending rockets off the bat, just at people.

I know we talk about Cohen's recruiting rankings not meaning much, but last years class is really shaping up. We haven't even began to scratch the surface with those pitchers either.

It's been a long time since we've gotten this kind of production from a freshmen class. They have been outstanding.

Collins reminds me of Pyatt of yesteryear defensively. Horrible in the field but good at the plate.

His glove, & not his arm, is usually the complaint. Terrible throw. However, he did slip.

I thought he actually

made a pretty good snag in the hole. Like you said, he just slipped when throwing it.
