Polk County scored with 19 seconds left on a 5-yard pass play to tie it and then won it on the extra point. Lexington is only 3-9 but had Polk on the ropes while building a 21-7 halftime lead.
Polk used a bit of luck after scoring the second TD … they botched the snap on the extra point kick attempt and scored two points on a pass. That proved to be the difference in the game.
