In terms of Braxton i don't know for sure that he'll leave that's just something I heard. Tyson Broadway is a 3-star recruit with offers from Georgia Tech and NC A&T and looks really good from the highlights I've seen. Southern Durham isn't exactly a powerhouse at the moment guess he's just looking for a better opportunity.

He is but I'm not sure that has anything to do with Broadway coming in. Maybe it does you never know.

In terms of Braxton i don't know for sure that he'll leave that's just something I heard. He had a big year last year with 3200+ passing yards 22 TDs amd 7 interceptions. Not sure what went wrong so far this year but he's still a big talent. Don't think he's gonna be that much of an impact guy for basketball, he had 12 points total last season.

He will start in basketball. I have never seen him play, but with what we lost this is big in basketball as well. I did some small research, he was splitting time with another division one athlete at Qb. Sort of like the Dionte situation here. Don't understand why they would put their division one athlete at Qb if you already have a solid QB.

Not a powerhouse but they did go to the third round of playoffs last year.

This year, they have played a tough schedule. Playing the (according to MaxPreps) 86th, 22nd, 8th, and 115th ranked teams in NC. They also played the 5th ranked team in Washington, DC. However, the only team they beat was Wake Forest (86th ranked) team. They lost by 2 points to the DC team and 4 points to NE Guilford (115th rank).

It'll be interesting to see how he fits in at Reidsville and how the team accepts him mid season.

Yes he confirmed on Instagram he will be immediately eligible. He was already practicing with reidsville yesterday saw some photos and videos online.

Without knowing all the details of the family, it's hard to say. However, if his family moves their "primary residence" to the area, then yes he is allowed to play. That is, assuming all paperwork and eligibility checks out. This also assumes that the AD (since someone said he was from Durham) is not helping coach at Reidsville, OR at least did not coach at Southern Durham. That gets a little tricky with some of the new rules. Again, if there is a bona fide move, I believe they may trump the other rules.

If I was Reidsville, I'd have every eye possible double check this thing and have extra copies of any paperwork. I'm sure they are under the microscope right now.

Yes I should've looked into the context of his basketball season last year more. Forgot they went to the state championship, will probably be our 2nd or 3rd best player but the basketball team still needs a lot of work besides dionte.

My comment was more towards that fact that Rockingham project pointed out he only had 12 points. He did play on one of the better teams in the state last year so just being on that team is a plus. Should be a good add for Reidsville.

If I were him, and went through weeks of rotating QBs mid drive, and now have to see a new QB being brought in, Id be looking elsewhere after this season.

You can't totally blame the coaching staff on that. Its people on here that wanted dionte to be the full time guy. I wasn't in that camp, I said let Dionte be a athlete.

It shouldn't, Dionte is a special talent. Dionte had a good year a Qb. It was no way we weren't going to have a package for Dionte at Qb. Whether you feel like we used that package too much that's a different question.

We still have good receivers. But you put Dionte at Qb full time, it makes us easier to guard, imo. Its hard to guard Dionte and Kendre with the other guys in the mix too.

Braxton is just a sophomore, Wonder how good he will be as a senior or even a junior. I think expectation has been great, and maybe overly so, to take over completely this year. He didn't get a lot of snaps last year. Another young player and his parents might look differently at Reidsville when they see how fast they will dump you in pursuit of "the now".

A lot of unanswered questions. I am just a fan, I am a "best man for the job" person. I still have some questions. Much can happen in a season or two. Hope Braxton can tough it out. A situation such as this can make you or break you. I would bet you would not want to face him down the road at some other 4A school. Just five games in.....wow!

For those wondering, he didn’t get the starting job this year because of Jonathan Dillon. He’s legit been on the bench all year mostly and he’s a 3 star, so in his case it could probably jeopardize his recruiting. It was already an unofficial 2 QB thing at points last season too. My only thing was; I couldn’t understand why they didn’t move Dillon to receiver because they have another 3 star junior receiver & Dillon has played as an offensive ATH in general, whereas Broadway is a pocket guy. Putting one full time guy at QB (that only plays QB) and having 2 supreme ATH at receiver seemed to make the most sense, but I guess not. Unfortunate too because everyone i mentioned are juniors so they could have another year had they played the cards right.

To the point of the team success: they pretty much blew the northeast game (I was there). Up by 2 TDs at the half and never scored again, but the refs definitely hosed them at the end. They lost to the DC team on a last second play. And they got bullied by Jordan & Gibbons so they were supposed to lose those. They should go undefeated the rest of the year to end 6-4. They lost some mass at DL last year so their defense is iffy, athletic secondary though. They’ll probably be a 2nd/3rd round exit. Hate it for Braxton though, haven’t seen the team so idk how he’s looked this year

Seems like you are making a lot of assumptions. No doubt Brax will be good/ I think he is solid now. Rams problems were more on the defensive side of the ball.

Keep in mind guys, Dionte never wanted to play QB, he agreed to play QB last year because the coaches and team really needed him there. That's the kind of Special Athlete/Young Man he is. In my honest opinion, pound for pound Dionte is the Best Athlete Reidsville has ever had.

From my sources it was more so things had reached a boiling point at Southern Durham. I don't think he's been promised anything. I'm not saying I'm 100% right, but I did call exactly how I heard the Sports phsyicals would go. Obviously, I know I wouldn't deny entry to the kid coming.
