Thoughts?
I’m interested in this one, big time, to peep the outcome in comparison to NC’s outcome with Burns (49-12) who, 28-20 has called, trash, ever since he learned of their existence from when they played Shelby, and NC’s game vs
North Lincoln (43-7), the silent killer in 2AA. And you, my dude, stated that excluding Shelby, you’d take Reidsville over everyone in 2AA. I looking forward to the outcome of this game. Reidsville wins, but for some wacky reason, I think it’s going to be closer than many think.

Cant pick and choose when common opponents matter, LA! Lol

If I was in the business of making odds for football games, Rams probably favored by 17.

im not sure we will match burns and north scores. But I still do feel that way about 2a.

Should be interesting game, By far the best opponent Reidsville has played this year. I’d tak the Rams though.

I believe if Newton stays in the 3-4 with linebackers blitzing the ends, could be a good game...If Newton plays 3-4 with 4 man gaps between nose and tackles and no outside blits, game over at half

Oh, I had you in mind when I posted that comment. Me and you have done just that for years now, though. You just stopped comparing the East Rutherford and ACR vs weak triad teams scores last week. Like Reidsville, NC had no familiarity with Burns and NL. Your boy, 28- 20, totally disrespected Burns for two weeks, and he knew jack about them, never had even heard of them. They have one of the state’s top runningbacks.

Tarheelfan1 came out of his shirt behind his keyboard, when he made his proclamation, and he dared anyone from Burns, Hibriten, and North Lincoln to say anything, gave me a flashback of when Denzel Washington, yelled, “And, King Kong ain’t got ish on me!”, alittle uncharacteristic of my guy.

I don’t want to hear anything about no sleep walking, we should have doubled team Gosnell, none of that. The Rams are supposed to blow these guys off the field.

Burns is legit so I disagree with that. Only reason I did that because one of the posters said they would blow anyone out in 2a west.

We should blow them out, but I thought we would blow brevard out last year.

Only way to beat Reidsville is out score them like ES did. I don’t think Reidsville is going to make the same like the did against ES.

maybe so rambbq, but did anyone ever even try to play defense against them ? ( I believed any team can be defensed!) and other than the Rams, who did ES play? It's all academic because if and when they play Tarboro, again, Tarboro will beat them again like last year. I might add Tarboro could beat the Rams and the DarkHorses and most likely the Golden Rams or anyone else in the 2A, 2AA as well, may 3A.

wiz....no disrespect to N-C but I'm pretty sure that East Surry is the best team the Rams have played this year....doesn't matter what number or numbers of A's you put after their name.........................

agreed. NC is certainly a solid football team but not as good as East Surry. That being said, Thomasville played with NC for the most part and Reidsville is much better than Thomasville to put it nicely. Reidsville by 42.

Tarboro lol, I'd bet your pig farm they would not. They would be just like WRH. Big ego, getting humbled by mid tier 2A. It's much easier to drop weight and compete than to put on weight. Since all the former big dogs of 3A like Shelby, Burns, Hibriten, Lincolnton, Clinton, ED, Riedsville, AnsonSouth Point.. list goes on etc have all dropped weight, teams like WRH, Thomasville, Albemarle are not what they once were. Tarboro would suffer the same fate.

East Surry don't have the same team they had last year. Reidsville would have beat that team by forty points. Is everybody in the East Riding with Tarboro?

I’m in the West, and think Tarboro will blow the doors off of them whenever they eventually meet.

I’ll say this and I appreciate the fellowship of the eastern guys. The guys from the east will latch on to the marquee horse when their team isn’t up to par. I remember it distinctly in 2013 when Washington was set to play Andrews in the state semis. Havelock people were on the 2A board tooting Washington’s horn because they gave Havelock all they wanted and more. I mean non stop talking about how Washington was going to do this and that. Needless to say Andrews won 42-14 on their way to winning the state title the next week in 2AA but those jokers from the east were relentless in their support of who they thought was the top horse in their neck of the woods in the classification.

N-C has solid offense. Defense has struggled. Most decent teams put up big numbers on them. If the game is close neither team will go much further.

Even if this game is close I would imagine reidsville still being the favorite out west

Newton Conover is good, but Reidsville will be too much...

Reidsville 42-21
Same exact score that I was getting ready to post.
What I don't understand is how did Reidsville give up 54 points to East Surry and some people think it was because Reidsville did not double Gosnell. That may be the case but the Cards have another WR that's is stats wise right up there with Gosnell. I listened to the game and I believe Reidsville lack of pass rush was the difference in the game . It seems like if the Rams we're playing man couverage that they would have had more bodys to rush the QB. Also East had some success running the ball.
Reidsville missed on some big plays that hurt them, but the Rams still put 49 on the board.sometimes you just lose, anybody that's ever played football knows during a season at some point you will play a game that nothing goes your way.I think the d Rams defence my not be what they usually are, but who in the West or East 2a can put up 50 points on the Rams . I say nobody because it would take a very good passing team to beat Reidsville and I don't see one.
My team has lost 3 of our best players ,due a to injury .plus our best player Shehan had his appendix removed I don't know how we can overcome that problem. I was hoping we could play the Rams at out place this year but it may take another merical or two to see the Rams in Burnsville .

lack of pass rush hurt. But still we made no adjustments in the game, other people noticed it even people not from reidsville. Gosnell was surprised he wasn’t double teamed. East had success running when gosnell was at running back, they had no success with their usual running back

After the E Surry game, the Rams coaches replaced four of the defensive starters, including both outside linebackers. A freshman, #23 now starts and is going to be a good one.

You are absolutely correct about one thing. If you want to beat Reidsville this year you will have to score lots and lots of points. And hope the Rams turn it over.

#23 is not a freshman. He is a jr, but he will be good one. He’s not shy about contact. But the freshman you’re talking about will likely start next year.

The current 23 is a freshman. The guy you are talking about evidently moved out of Reidsville some time ago. He was fast and like you said was not afraid of contact.
