He HAS to dive into the endzone on that last play. If he dives in instead of lowering his shoulder, he gets into the endzone with ease. Also, we have GOT to get taller receivers that
can stretch for a ball.

said give the Auburn guy some credit for crushing a guy that was one hell of alot bigger than him. It just sucks but it happened. I am pretty sure we would have gone for two on the road and I felt like we would win it. It absoulutely made me sick.

The bad part is Relf will be having nightmares and mumbling in his sleep for years about that play. Believe me a very similar thing happened to me in high school and it took me years to get it out of my mind. Hopefully he will learn from it and turn chicken **** into chicken salad at some point later in the season.

How many times has Relf not gained another inch after initial contact in the past 2 seasons? Maybe once or twice. Unfortunately, this was one of those times.

this was just that one time. Make no mistake about it though, that was one hell of a tackle by the defender, hit him perfectly.

The reason that you pitch on that play is this:

It gives you the opportunity for 2 plays.

Either Ballard gets the ball and scores

OR

He runs out of bounds with 4 seconds left
