Not what I said--shared what UCLA media was reporting which is far more concerning because they all can't be wrong. Not like they all love Cronin either-he's not beneath being criticized by their media-so they just blasted the demands from Mara/his camp. Do understand why coaches/programs would be intrigued and willing to roll the dice with his size/talent but those demands were gross--specifically about wanting to fly back to Spain whenever he chose.
They went after Gwath and Bol Bowen for a reason. And Alvaro isn't a shot-blocker. We'll add 2 more bigs (presumably Alvaro is one) and a rim-protector, even if it's a bench guy.

I'm not mad at all. Written words can come off how the reader wants-just making sure that it's known that all I was doing was sharing what I watched on the UCLA Podcast which was talking of the Mara situation.
Not like I'm going to take credit for just sharing what was topical and came across. Someone who has access should go to UCLA site and see what they are saying about it-but apparently it was a major discussion point regarding Mara and his Camp's demands.
Strictly on paper and if this is how it shakes out, I really don't see this year's team better than last year's. We lost Butler, Brea, Jaxon, Williams, and Carr, while adding JJ, Moreno, Lowe, Lewis and Folgueiras. Sorry but I just don't see it.
My outlook GREATLY changes if we add Pierre and/or Yaxel, but losing confidence by the day.
If the coaches are good with Garrison/Moreno at the 5 I can see only taking 2 more. Alvaro and Pierre would be ideal. Leading scorer in the ncaa last year and a double double guy. Gives us a good starter and a capable of playing now backup at every spot.

I think that team already is equal to last years. Less experience but more scoring and athleticism.

Yeah thats a bottom half SEC roster. Going to come down to coaching and system fits
I dont know, but I expect the overall level of most teams will all down because there will be no more five years seniors..
You may have said this already. But do you like the 2 adds so far? I like both, Williams to be has major jump written all over him. And lowe in a better offense with a lower usage rate will be better
In addition to Alvaro, I’d love to see an Amari-sized big to bruise up the paint and a Brea-caliber shooting threat. And I wish all of them could be lock-down defenders.
