He was hit as he threw.

Nomally they don't call intentional grounding when that happens.

What are you talking about? He got hit as he was throwing...if it wasn't for that it would have gotten further. They don't call intentional grounding when a QB gets blindsided so the ball goes about two feet in front of them, do they? It's no different

I understand what you are saying, but it looked to me like he was trying to get rid of it. He wasn't blindsided. Int grounding is usually called because the qb is going down

I think the replacement refs have done a pretty good job.

It's not like the regular refs never miss any calls. I haven't seen anything the replacement refs have missed that the regular refs haven't missed before. Considering most of these guys were reffing Division II and III games last year, they've done a very good job.
