Throws his hat on the field, right in front of Ogletree who slips on it and missed a touchdown because of it.

What the hell are the real refs asking for that is so objectionable?

Are you 17ing kidding me!!! I cannot believe they reversed that TD

I haven't had too much to complain about these replacements until now. How in the world can you say that was enough evidence to reverse the TD. I love how the announcers tried to find a way to justify the reverse...Ugh.

What the 17 ever. Who Dat!!!

BTW, I replied to your thread just because you discussed those a-holes, so not ranting about anything you said Flab.

Gotta agree. Even if it goes in Saints favor.

Still doesn't get me my Fantasy Football points back from Bree's TD.

Another very interesting ruling in this game... I know if the ball touches the pylon first, it's a touchdown... but if the foot touches the pylon first, does it count as in bounds? You really can't argue either way with his ruling because anywhere else on the field, that is a clear incomplete pass.

That was questionable even before these replacement guys came into the picture. Up until last year, the precedent was you had to be clearly downed by contact before the play was over, but last year, that precedent changed by saying if you "give yourself up" the play is over. That precedent needs to be cleared up before anything else is argued.

Steve Young is educated....

Steve Young bringing the "inelasticity of demand". Damn! The man is educated as well as a great QB!

He didn't give himself up.. he reacted to severe pain and dropped the ball.. tough break but I think it was the right call

I think the Moore out of bounds reversal took the cake over the bobbled catch, hyper-extended arm, and blown safety. The ref calls it a catch at the 6-inch line (which it absolutely cannot be), the replay guy spends his time giving you absolute proof that his foot hit the pylon first, and the announcers just keep repeating that we can't argue with the call while it's reversed and ruled an incompletion. I thought I'd seen it all, but I'm filing today's referee performance alongside State's games against Auburn in 2011 and BYU in '01.
