well, I personally have no first hand knowledge of why Thune is doing what he does,. But, in my experience, I have discovered that in Congress , both house and Senate, there is a hesitation to bring something to the floor if it doesn't have the votes to succeed. Both sides have whips whose job it is to count votes. So thune knows where these stand success wise.

The filibuster makes both sides work together, compromise, and while the result might not be the best possible, it's the best that people with sometimes totally opposite viewpoints will support. Historically, there have been plenty of major items of legislation passed when the filibuster was intact.

Seems to me we could do with a little compromise politically right now.
You have a good heart and give these individuals the benefit of the doubt. I believe the UniParty is real and that some Republicans are part of it including Thune. That's why it was bad when he got the leader position. Just my opinion based on a lot of reading and watching what he actually does.

A Republican journalist
obviously well read by the American population.

But having said that, it has become common knowledge that republicans have policies Americans like better but they can't govern. Unlike democrats who will all get in line with the party position, republicans like to think of themselves as individuals and will buck the party when their own individual positions are disregarded. Just look at MTG, Rand Paul, Murkowski as examples.

Very big moments in the near future.

BREAKING: A group of GOP Senators are on the floor pushing HARD for the ban on sanctuary cities to IMMEDIATELY be passed

The End Sanctuary Cities Act would allow for the ARREST of elected officials who REFUSE to obey federal immigration laws

This and the SAVE America Act are the TWO MOST important bills in quite a long time.

GET THEM PASSED!

He's just some *** loser that wants to run to daddy instead of being a man which most liberals are incapable of and trying to get people banned who have more influence than he does.
He's still trying to over inflate his importance or influence here.
He needs to disappear and will if the numerous posters that have flooded the emails to the higher ups will get their way.l

@dpic73 needs to go
So you're lambasting him for "running to daddy" even as you concede that you have "flooded the emails [sic] to the higher ups" in order to have him banned because you can't address his arguments? Good for you, junior. 🐘 🤡

Are you that bored? Cabo was right though.
Not much has changed since 3/25 except new left-wing posters joining a Clemson board,

Is that so, Ned? In that case, the Repos are gonna open up a can of whupass on the Demos next November. Amirite?
no, I don't think you're right. Americans don't like how Trump executes the policies they like. Republicans lose the House in 2028. And yes, people will vote against their best interests.....look at Mayor of NYC, for example

Well, we could save a whole lot of money if we simply defunded or (better yet) abolished ICE.
probably not accurate. It costs the government more to take care of the undocumented than the budget for ICE. Budget for ICE is about $18Billion/ year. Seemingly officials has discovered $9billion in fraud, not to mention the cost of maintaining the undocumented in just one state.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong point I guess.
Read again, "the numerous posters that have flooded the emails to the higher ups will get their way."

I never emailed anyone to ban this tard, he isn't important enough for my attention. He's the one that went to Chris and others trying to ban anyone who disagreed with his posts despite the fact that he has threatened several people on this board and his answer was " I said what I said" like a typical lefty.

Why would we abolish ICE. You don’t think we need immigration or customs enforcement? Just come and go as you please with whatever you please.

Did we have unfettered immigration prior to its establishment in 2003?

INS existing since 1933 and was folded into ICE in 2003.
That's kind of my point, though. We had immigration enforcement prior to ICE's implementation. Don't read this as my support for disbanding ICE, just playing devil's advocate.

But that agency was folded into ICE. So we dissolve ICE and create a new agency? What’s the point.

SAVE ACT/TEXAS SENATE RACE: Leader Thune delayed the Save America Act cloture vote until Wednesday so Trump couldn’t pressure Cornyn to drop out of the Senate race after he kills the bill. Cornyn would have to drop out on Tuesday. At every turn Thune and Cornyn betray the president.

Here is the weasel otherwise known as John Thune trying to explain how the senate is doing nothing. He basically is just admitting that a large number of republican senators are RINOs just waiting to be activated at any time. Interesting interview. Also interesting that Fox didnt ask him about the pro forma sessions being used to stop Trump appointments.
