Absolute legend. Years ago, I got lost meandering through his wiki entry. The amount of music that he has influenced in one way or another is astonishing.
If you haven't listened to it straight through in a while, put in some earphones and play it uninterrupted. A masterpiece recorded nearly 60 years ago...
Wow, hate to hear this. One of - if not the - only American group to challenge the Beatles in that time period. I'd still put the Fab 4 ahead, but The Beach Boys had a period there with Pet Sounds that rivaled their best. Wilson was the architect of all that. Sad day in music.
