Would love to have another Noel Devine. We haven't had that kind of RB since he was here. Last several years we've had no speed at all.

Good numbers out of a couple of the backs. Curious if anybody knows if the non 4/5 star backs accounted for more than that many yards since 2002. Slaton accounted for a bunch of yards.

So only two out of seven panned out. Maybe they should have spent more time getting an education than trying ti improve their recruiting profile. This is what is wrong with college athletics.

Recruiting high school kids is typically a roll of the dice if you don't spend a lot of time with them, prior to simply tossing out an offer. Coaching them at the college level is really the most important aspect, and putting them into a position to succeed.

Really doesn't matter much anymore. The top programs continue to bring in the sure thing high school kids. WVU would probably be better served lowering the recruiting budget on high school kids and concentrating on recruiting the portal.

Devonta Smith and a few others in this draft showed why that isn’t happening
If I am 5’9 180 and run a sub 4.45.
Playing the slot

Speed beats man.

Thank Pete Carroll and the Legend of Boom.

Teams went to these huge corners. These shifty WRs can create space.

All those guys like Noel Devine are coming into college as WR or are put there

Leddie Brown…
No one is talking about him
Talking about Breece Hall, Isaiah Spiller, Bijan Robinson and Tank Bigsby but not Leddie.

Not a complete back yet but someone who could end up getting a lot of carries in the NFL. Probably more than Slaton

interested in where he is at in 2021

Laddie does just fine for WVU.

Breese Hall of ISU. Can be arguably the best back in college football. A four star in 2019 has elevated himself to top RB for 2022 draft. This is according to lot of big media outlets. He owns all traits for an NFL RB.

I like Leddie Brown.

He actually wasn't someone from the current staff. Best thing for him was Dana taking the Midnight Special.
I don't think he would have been the same.

Talent is 50% of the equation but the other half is work ethic and coaching/Strength coach

Leddie will be the work horse in the run game this year. Too bad he just doesn't have the break away speed.
Will be interesting to see how the two FR are used.
