No he did not
They prepared the same way they would of for any opponent. It didn't translate on the field and they came out flat second half. As Badke quoted in the paper" we played 6 minutes of good football"
He nor they overlooked anyone.

Mce86, I'll give you several reads just in the Fremd game alone. 1st interception, has Houston WIDE open but throws it cautiously and pits too much air LCB reads cuts in front of Hoiston and picks it. Leads to a TD. Damn.... Smalling running a fly route on the right side was open by 20 yards and could've scored easy on an under thrown ball. How do you not even give one look at the best player on this field by far? Why? Because he's a decent QB but not a good one. Where's Dino playing college ball? At least Miller whether walk on or not is on a Big 10 roster. Miller went to Quarterfinals. Millers reads were far superior. 'Nuff said.

And how does the rushing record or whatever come on the QBs hands??? How bout that D1 back helped Borelli get the inflated stats he did??? How about that. I've never seen a QB with a D1 WR and D1 RB underachieve so bad ever in HS football. When you have that talent behind you, you're at lest going to the Semis at the very worst. Again underachieving year and I'm calling it out and people are pissed. Well get mad at the ones that caused it rather than me.

Let's address these QB issues that you seem to be having...

1. Cam had Ricky and the bubble screen last year and they ran it just as well. As I recall, it was their go to play. I don't know the numbers, but would bet that Ricky accounted for most of Cams TD's and completions also, or as you say, "Inflated stats"
2. Cam also had Smalling, Julian Blain, Clifton Taylor, Valladay, and some others. (Not too shabby) They also had a stronger O line, and far more defensive talent, starting with the Boyds... Big reason for the playoff run last year, had a more complete team.
3. I believe Borrelli hit far more receivers than Cam did, his accuracy on his throws was very impressive, and IMO Borrelli's pre-snap read on the defense was far better than Cams, thus the far greater number of completions to different receivers.
4. They offensive line did struggle at times with protection, reasoning for the fast read and quick completions. You do not always have the time to see your 2nd or 3rd look, and have to make the right defensive read to complete the pass under pressure
5. Cam did not ever hit a 3rd read, and for his 2nd read, he would check off of the first read and just toss the ball in Smalling's direction, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Smalling also did not get double teamed with a high- low coverage like he did this year, which forced a second or third read by Borrelli. There is no way you can have a 40 td to 6 INT ratio without hitting a 2nd or 3rd read, without being able to read defensive coverage extremely well, and without great accuracy on the throws???
6. Miller did turn the ball over quite often when he was handling the ball, and had a lot more Int's
7. No comparison in Borrelli's ability to scramble, elude defenders, and throw accurately on the run
8. I am sure Borrelli will play somewhere in college, and every kid that has an opportunity to play college ball needs to decide weather actually playing D2 or D3 football for 4 years is better than being on a D1A roster, and maybe not ever having the opportunity to play. I am sure you would get a pretty big divide on this question???
8. Both Qb's were pretty damn good, both made some mistakes, whether it was missed reads, pressure, or an occasional bad throw. They are high school kids. Everyone who was a Rice fan was disappointed in how the season finished. IMO, if that bad play call before half time in the LA game was eliminated in wk 9, Rice wins that game, probably doesn't have the hangover going into the playoffs, and meets LA in the semis. Call it what you want, but the kids played their hearts out in that game, and I think the loss hurt them and carried over into the playoffs. That's football, That's Life!

Very much true, you don't know how many people were happy when Carmel choked and didn't win a Conference game all year and failed to make state play-offs.
Big deal their in the Toilet Bowl again. Doesn't mean crap when any public team doesn't have a chance against any CCL team.

if you don't like the prep bowl fine but no need to call it the toilet bowl. It actually means something to the kids who play in it. believe it or not this is actually about the kids not you and whether or not you believe it is a toilet bowl

No it doesn't, not the Catholic league teams. I now kids on Rice, Rita, Carmel, DeLSalle they all say the same game is meaningless. Their the ones who call it the toilet bowl.

Teenagers can lack perspective sometimes which makes them, well, teenagers. The post-Smart/Washington years will add another team you failed to mention to the mix in the very near-future Prep Bowls.

Being cocky. Really one thing MC is not is cocky because they celebrated against beating the Number 1 seed at home with a come from behind victory In a prep bowl playoff
You ever see a team celebrate after beating MC it's like winning a championship read a paper after a MC loss all they say is we beat mount Carmel how happy they are to beat mount Carmel
MC has a winng record that's all they a guilty of
Viking 87 says people were happy because the didn't win a conference game and missed the playoffs
well it will be short lived
because they will be back and they will win conference games and playoffs and championships

Ok, but do you think it is actually a real game. Do you think Simeon has a chance? My point has been there is no competition for the catholic league, what makes that interesting?

Quit trolling my posts. Don't you have more tears to wipe away, remembering how your team choked twice.
