There will be about 12,000 at this game tomorrow night that think this game is pretty significant.

I think you misread my post. I was saying the union/DR game, score and stats are pretty insignificant at this point.

EDIT** I stand corrected. I missed typed in my original post. I meant to type Dan river/union not graham....

Id take 95 PV and 98 PV over Appo, any day.
I said second best team lol. I also watched that 95 96 PV team and I swear they were like a small college team. That was the first best I have ever seen. I had a brother playing for Giles that year and I just wanted to go down there and carry him off the field. He was a freshman tailback and I thought they were going to kill him lol.

And I am also telling you that after seeing Graham twice and Appo, I think Graham wins the state title. We simply have a difference of opinion. Our game with Graham also had Graham having 100 more yds of total O and they had two TDs called back and several holding calls that killed their drives. We also had many lifesaving one on one tackles in which our last secondary played made incredible tackles or Graham would have scored. We were fortunate. With that said, Biedelman don't normally throw the ball as accurate as he did. Like I wrote, we played out best game at home and they still won. Graham had 3 starters out against us. Time will tell what happens. That's why they play the games. You have your pick and I have mine.
We will see who is saying the other is right in a few weeks. I mean u can go ahead and tell me now if u want. Graham downfall is thier front. Giles is better up front then Graham is and u seen what Appo didbtobus. What do u think it would be against Graham. I picked Graham to beat Richlands tonight but I'm not even sure they win that one.

There you go!!! Once again, showing you ARE the smartest football man in the room!!! Good job, BW!

You don't think 95/98 PV would beat this years Appo team? 95 had an NFL Pro Bowler and another D1 kid, 98 had three D1 kids, injcluding a future NFK starting RB.

How bout you add some insight instead of talking ****? Oh that's right, you have no insight.

Graham is a better team than Giles this year. Graham had 107 more total yards than Giles and 3 starters out including 2 linemen. Giles and Graham are equal up front, but this year, Graham has far more athletes than Giles. Again, we will see tonight. You and I disagree. As for you not being sure of Graham winning tonight.......well.......no duh. Richland is the real deal.

But u said Graham would win state? Graham is better then Giles this year but because of athletes and speed. They are not equal up front. But u are right, we disagree.

Wow Lucas, unfortunately you will not get to see it but to say Appomattox secondary can't catch graham. Appo has 8 guys as fast or faster than than 10 or 17. Richlands looked good but I will say they didn't look as good as last year.

Richlands played very well tonight. Graham looked out of sorts. Their speedster, Cooke played limited snaps, wondering if he was hurt. As for the poster above that said Graham looked slow and soft. That had a lot to do with Richlands being well prepared for that game. Graham wasn't able to show their speed because Richlands controlled the line of scrimmage. I wouldn't hand Appomattox the state title either. Union, Richlands, Goochland, Stuarts Draft are all capable of taking them down.

Graham had a great season. Congratulations to them and Good luck to Richlands moving forward.

Graham has several guys faster than 10 or 17 also, they just didn't get the ball. Credit Richlands for that.

Exactly what I said, Grahams front would be thier downfall and it was tonight.

Graham has a bit more speed, but Richlands is not slow by any mean means. Richlands has the bigger line, and that made a huge difference in the first matchup.

Called it a week ago. Graham was dominated on the lines in the first game, and they were dominated on the lines in this game.

One thing to consider here.

Can Graham handle the moment?

Richlands has been there and done that. They know what it takes to play in these big time games. Graham doesn't know yet. This is the biggest game they've payed in over a decade.

Graham has a tendency to run their mouths and get chippy when things aren't running smoothly.

Not saying that will be a thing, but if it gets chippy, will Graham hold their composure. They didn't in the first game.

It didn't get chippy, but Graham got down and started pressing. There were a couple of unsportsmanlike conduct calls. A horse collar tackle on Graham. Also, Richlands fans were AMAZING. Graham had to call 3 timeouts tonight because they couldn't hear the audible at the line of scrimmage. Whether we head to Stuarts Draft or host Goochland next week, our fans are primed and ready.

Congrats, Blue Tornado! Hoping the Bears can hold up against a strong Appomattox team.

Coach Mance always has his team prepared and once again it shows through. Good luck next week with whomever you play

The penalties really hurt Graham. Had a TD called back and a couple of first downs called back which seemed to deflate them.

Richlands had the better overall team, was impressed with their defense. Richlands is playing very well right now.

Not sure why you mentioned my name. I guess because I picked Graham to win the whole thing, but that's a little over the top to call me out. Therefore, let me return the favor. This is to easy as two can play this game (if you want to go down that road).

Final Stat of Last Year
Appo 27
Richlands 21

See how easy that is?
Lets do another one. Giles......more state titles than Richlands.

Nice to see that you're finally relying on evidence to support your position.

I can also say with conviction that Giles is a hell of a lot better at playing football than you are at prognostication.

On the other hand, if Richlands somehow achieves a modern day miracle and wins the title, I will proclaim you as the king of prognostication and carry you across the field on my shoulders.

That a boy, make it personal. LMAO. That means you lost the argument. Fact is, I picked Graham to win the whole thing. Surely, and underdog pick and not the favorite, but I had the balls to make the pick. Fact two, you easily pounce or try to take a cheap shot at somebody for being wrong on a pick, then you got bitc@ slapped back. I smell sour grapes. Is somebody pulling on your pig tails? I think we have a case where somebody is a "in the back sitting follower" who has no balls and loves to pounce because you are a coward.

I find it comical and amusing how you now label Richlands possibly beating Appo as a "miracle." LMAO. You see, that's the difference in Giles and Richlands historically. Giles fans, even last week expect to win. Even at Appo, a significant portion of the fan base felt we had a chance. Sure, we were beat up, but year in and year out, if we were to keep playing, Giles would get the best of them and most AA teams in the state. History says so.

In conclusion, you dodged my statement about titles. You have less titles than Giles. Why are u responding? Again, if you take a cheap shot, and it was a cheap shot, don't be upset when you are smacked twice as hard. If you want to continue this, we certainly can. Until u win a couple more titles, you should stop arguing and worry about your team.

As for Giles playing football better than me prognosticating? Well, two points come to mind.
1. I will take that any day regarding Giles play and me being wrong. However, I pick the Spartans to win almost always for well over 30 years. That's worked out well for both of us.

2. At least I had/have the balls to prognosticate. I also have the balls to fire back twice as hard.

I didn't make it personal. I was just having a little fun. Strangely, your "bitc@ slap" doesn't sting at all.

I've noticed your tendency to distort the truth ... such as when you were getting the legal resident kicker from Galax deported, or when you stated that Graham would have defeated Richlands by 2 touchdowns had they not repeatedly turned the ball over. Honesty doesn't appear to be your strength. Multiple times I have seen Giles supporters downplay their odds of winning games, on this site and on others. I respect their honesty and their football knowledge. You, on the other hand, seem to pull your opinions out of your butt in most circumstances.
In conclusion, you dodged my statement about titles. You have less titles than Giles. Why are u responding? ... Until u win a couple more titles, you should stop arguing and worry about your team.
I am a fan that realizes that the success or failure of a team I follow is not tied to my support. I celebrate their wins, and lament their losses. That's it. Unlike you, my self-esteem is not dependent on how many titles are won by the teams I support.

I smell fear. I also sense you know that you lost the argument, so you result to attempts to take personal shots. You remind me of the far left. Either way, you can take all the personal shots you wish because at the end of the day, Giles has more titles than Richlands and brother, that is unrelated to self esteem. However, since you brought it up, I suspect a little projection going on your part.

I repeat, if you want to take a cheap shot, don't be upset when you get your piggy tails pulled.

P.S. 27-21.

Agree. But, he wanted to take it to the personal and childish level. I am a Trump kind of guy. We can play nice and not take cheap shots, or we can roll in the mud. Either way, I love the idea of doubling down and firing back. There are many people that gladly tolerate a cheap shot and "take the high road." I don't. Simply put, wrong guy to take a swipe at. I fire back twice as hard.

But, you will never see me take or initiate a cheap shot on another poster. I feel that is wrong, but when one is taken at me, I gladly double down.

Nice detective work. I think you're right.

27-21. I think I may have to change my pick to Appo, lol. Afterall, it seems like you guys get there, but do not win it. Time will tell and the better team will win either way. As for 87th or whatever the heck, is that an inside joke or something between you two clowns?
P.S. I am not sure you guys beat Stuarts Draft. I know you dodged a big one in Goochland because they are very tough. Perhaps I should just go with Appo and call it a day, lol.

82nd was a fellow who graduated from Graham, had a cousin in Richlands and had located somewhere in your area, and got carried away sometimes. Otherwise just a pure football fanatic like the rest of us, just over expressed it sometimes.

You're right lucus, we have got there several times ( Semi-final & championship game ) and have only won it twice, but you do realize how hard it is to just GET there. At least it gives us a shot and I will take that any time over not getting that chance. There are a lot of teams in the state that would love to just be a part of the playoffs let alone make a deep run almost every year for the last 15 years or so. You have to have so much go right ( injuries, the right bounce, a little or a lot of luck ) and have a really special team to get that far and IF and I mean IF ( because we have to get past a very good SD team 1st ) then it will be a very special year yet again, and we will be very proud of our team regardless of whether we win it all or not, and guess what, we will probably make another run again next year ! We have a lot of talent coming back next year with a really good backup QB.
Trust me, I am not jumping on you for what you said, I know you and stormwatch are going back n forth and I respect your views and posts, but it is something that has been said several times before on this board and the other board a lot of us are on ( sometimes by our own fans ) and will probably be said again so I am mostly speaking in General about that statement.
I'm just hoping we get a win this week, because SD deserves to be here and will be a very tough team to get past !

Well said man. I agree that winning a title is tough and getting there and maintaining or being a contender every year is hard enough. That speaks to Coach Mance and what he has built at Richlands. Dude can flat-out coach.

Aside from Stormwatcher, I will be rooting for Richlands to win it all. I also wish Mance would come home someday! Having seen Richlands twice this year, I am impressed with the character of the kids that don't engage in trash talking or shenanigans. They just play. That also reflects Coach Mance and his character. It's gonna be an interesting two weeks and if Richlands beats Stuart's Draft, I will be in Salem.

Storm, you better be super strong like one of those Richlands lneman because I have a belly the size of an 8th month pregnant woman with twins and to much flesh to go with it! LOL. Dude, I said I would be rooting for the Blues, but I don't know about being carried across the field in celebration. But hey, if it makes u feel better, I am in as long as I got five hot dogs in me by the time the bell sounds.

P.S. on a serious note, I think Richlands has a chance. If it is Appo, no question they are solid and talented and return a ton of players, but we don't need a short memory....meaning......with about 8 and 1/2 minutes left playing at Appo, Richlands led by two touchdowns last year. I know, Appo is likely even better this year than last, but Richlands is also......in my opinion.
